got no response from the pinball group so...

just picked this up tonight... no legs... playfield looks almost new... all plastics there... none broken, but some are warped... back glass is peeling badly... cabinet artwork looks very nice...

not sure if it works...

what is it worth? is it desireable?

Should I try to fix it, part it out, Sell it?

I'm more of an 80s vid/pinball guy myself...

just couldn't let this be made into a coffee table the like previous owner wanted to do...
So I had to save it....

First I'd ask that you'd not part this game out...Genco has become rare and to some degree scarce. There years in business were 1931-1958.

If this is a 1951 Genco Stop and Go.

The pin you have I've never seen for sale...not once in several years of solid research and collecting EM. What makes this game special is first it has flippers. Not a common thing in pins from the early 50's. Next the stop and go Octagon if that car is there. That is considered animation in the playfield much like a Williams Turf Champ.

Do not repaint this game. However you may want to triple thick the backglass to arrest the delamination. Read the pinrepair article on how to do it.

So my opinion on it's worth.

If you had this machine working, with wood legs... I'd look for a set (call Steve at Pinball Resource), with the original car in the playfield, even with the backglass peeling. I'd start at $1,500...

If you sell non working, without legs, However if the cars there, I'd start at $850.00...

Without car start at $450...

For a true collector that car would be almost impossible to find and believe it or not that car catagorizes this as "playfield animation" in an era (50's) that had very little of it.

Others may or may not chime in. Nevertheless I go with the elbow grease and restore this game. I'll state again that car in the playfield is what makes this game very collectable.

Good luck...OHEMIO...!

It does have the original car on the playfield...

the backglass is pretty bad... paint is peeling...

the playfield looks almost new...

anyone interested in a project? I have a 1986 Corvette I am restoring...

I do like the looks of this pin though...
