Looking for some game suggestions for the GBA for my kids. And maybe a few for me. I completely skipped that generation of Nintendo handhelds.

Well there's the obvious whack of Mario games and re-releases on the platform.

All depends on your kids play level. My 6 year old step-son plays almost anything I do, and plays well.

I don't much like the Sonic games on GBA, but that's because I grew up with the originals...and the GBA titles are terrible in comparison. Your kids might like em though.

The Metroid games...again, depends on your kids level of play when it comes to video games.

There's Dora, Madagascar, Monsters Inc games etc on there too for the younger of them.
The GBA library is freaking huge...

Thanks for the suggestions. My kids have never touched a Gameboy. They're entire gaming experience consists of a few arcade games, bowling on the Wii, and card games on the DS.

Then, like the rest of us, Mario and Pac-Man are a good place to start, if you ask me :)

The GBA has an a awesome library, in my opinion. I've got dozens of games for it and I don't recall many of them being too disappointing.

Disney games are always good for kids, I was playing Home on the Range the other day on the GBA and quite enjoyed it.

Ofcourse you have the whole world of original Gameboy & Gameboy Color Carts too if you are using an actual GBA to play them.

Bought a GBA SP for my son a few months ago. So far just picking up games at flea markets and the like. Both of my sons (5 and 7) enjoy Scooby-Doo, Topgear Pocket 2, Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon, Donkey Kong Country, Monopoly. We're looking for one of the Mario games, but none of the Mario titles are cheap or easy to find. My younger son even likes to play Bob the Builder- picked it up for $1!
