anyone have any ideas as how to make a control panel for a gba arcade game? i was wondering how you would make a joystick for a game that had a contact type of controller

solder the wires from the micro switches to the contacts on the gba motherboard, probably harder to connect a monitor to the gba mobo.

good luck with the project. the original mario vs donkey kong would be great to put in a real nintendo cab.

I had a crazy idea about putting the guts of a ds into a dual monitor playchoice cab for new smb, but there just was no good solution for the touchscreen with the pc10 bezel.

Touch screen monitor? There out there.. but how would you connect one?

I had seen a website where somebody connected a ds to two touchscreen lcd"s, so it is possible with some kind of adaptor, but a touchscreen wouldn't work with the playchoice bezel, and the cab wouldn't look right without the pc bezel.

I think the gba is a very similar resolution to the nintendo classic arcade games, so the gba may looks pretty good on a sanyo 20ez.

my kid would gladly trade all my dkjr parts in exchange for a pokemon arcade cab, he would paint my dkjr cab pikachu yellow I'm sure.

how would you do the gba's shoulder buttons on the cp?

i'm going to need to be able to split the power for the monitor and the gba but i have to make sure not to fry the boards

I don't know how I feel about this, don't chop up a classic for this project, please.
My advice: get a gamecube + GBA adaptor and mod that.

WHY would you want to do this?

1) get a GBA Gamecube player.
2) get a Gamecube to JAMMA adaptor
3) hack a gamecube controller and hook it to your control panel.
