I am trying to mount a new 4900 19" monitor into a dedicated Gauntlet cabinet. The problem I am having is that I do not know how to mount it so that it is center aligned. The only place I see to mount it put the monitor at the bottom center of the opening. I know that there is a bezel that goes around the monitor. I do not have this part. My question is this. Are there mounts that I need to put in to raise the monitor to the center of the opening?

Does anyone have pictures of how their monitor is installed in a dedicated Gauntlet cabinet. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did your cab come with the old monitor? If so then it probably has the correct mounting brackets attached to it.

Gauntlet 19" monitor mounting

Ok.
I'm pretty versed with Gauntlet arcades.
Their should be a shelf specifically for the monitor.
You access this shelf through the back of the game.
Their are two back doors.
The monitor is mounted from the back through the top door.
Once you get the back off of the door there should be 4 holes that the monitor chassie lines up with (2 towards the front and 2 towards the back).
Line the holes up and bleed 4 carriage bolts with nuts to the cabinet.
After you do this, look through the front of the cabinet and the monitor should be centered.
As for the monitor shroud, it is specific to Gauntlet arcades.
I enclosed a photo of the shroud as well as what the monitor should look like after it is installed before the shroud is installed.
Here is an Ebay auction for one and it is quite cheap, right now at least.

Oh, I see now. It just look odd because my machine does not have the bezel. It was bastardized and converted to a Tekken machine. I have it mostly back to original but there is a piece of glass covering the entire opening. So, I do not need this glass? I just mount like I see in the image? Then I guess I need to acquire the bezel somehow.

thanks for the bezel link. I will try to get that. I have attached images of what my Gauntlet machine's monitor area looks like. I just do see how to mount the monitor like you have it in you pic.

Gauntlet monitor shelf

This is the closest thing I have.
There is a wood piece that holds the monitor and keeps it from sliding back.
And the back shelf as you see in this photo is longer.

Figured it out. When they converted this to a Tekken machine they turned the monitor upside-down. I can only assume that they did that so that the monitor would seat lower in the cabinet. Thanks for you help with this issue!

I meant to say that they turned the monitor stand upside-down. derp.

Shawn took good care of you. He's good like that!

I'm considering trying to replace my monitor for one with no burn in. Where did you get the monitor and can you show any pictures?

Thanks for the feedback Dave.
I've got brand new Vision Pro 19" monitors in each of my games.
I got them back when they were a bit cheaper, got um for like $180 a piece.
They fit right in and I didn't have to change any chassies or anything.
They've worked great for me going on 4/5 years.
They have one listed on Ebay now.
