Alright,
I have a problem with a Gauntlet 2 PCB I have.
When I power on the game, the game powers on and begins the usual Gauntlet 2 startup demo. The problem is immediately after the intro screen when it goes to a demo of the blue elf in the maze, the screen freezes and a rom error comes up. After the rom error is displayed, the game immediately resets itself and goes into an intro screen loop showing the original startup screen over and over again after it hits that error message on the screen where the elf is in the maze. The other problem is that everytime the rom error is displayed the specific rom error is different everytime it loops.
Any suggestions on where on the board the problem might be?

Just use one of the other dozen or so Gauntlet II PCBs you must have. Seems like you buy every one that comes up for sale ;)

No.
I haven't removed any of the roms.
To be honest, I'm not sure exactly where to start on the board again due to the rom errors being different every time the game resets.

Different rom Errors. I see. I would be looking at resistor networks. A Broken one would cause error messages. Maybe a dead cap. A ESR meter might help you track it down. You can use a working board to use as a comparison. Both of these things might cuase your board to do the things you described.

I've already pulled all of the roms that were removable out, cleaned them and put them back and that didn't work. As for "the chip" I again don't know which specific chip the problem is coming from.
Would anyone know specifically where the graphics chips are on the PCB so I can at least narrow the roms I'm messing with?

Pull out the chip clean it and re-socket it.

What address are the errors at? It should say something like:

ROM at XXXXXX error U L

with the "XXXXXX" as the address. I would check the main roms at the top in locations 6 through 10.

F&#K!
The board is at my folks house and I didn't write them down.
I unfortunately can't answer that at the current time. :(
