I'm such a newb. What games use the WG6100? Asteroids Deluxe, Black Widow, Tempest? Games like this?

The only game in your collection that has one is Tempest. Black Widow would too, along with Space Duel and Gravitar.
Lots of jitter issues if I recall with the 6100 Deflection board May have been the HV board. Apparently the same board was used for the Amplifone with a resistor change with no real issues IIRC. Hard to say. I have one of those HV boards I got in a trade about 2 months ago. Not working, so I have to see what is up with that.
Not trying to hijack the thread, but wanted to answer the question. I bought the design and parts to make these. The HVU has been rock solid and I am still running the same units that I installed 6+ (?) years ago. The deflection was an issue that required a new harness to be sold with the unit, but my understanding was that AS opted not to go that route, so jittery vectors resulted. I have been very low on stock for a long time and have just been selling HVU to the public and using the deflections myself. These were Fred K's design, for those that remember.
thanks
I vaguely remember that from rgvac. Curious...what was it about that harness that made it have jitters? Wire gauge? Shielding issue?
thanks
What I was told that the jittery went away when the wire harness was soldered directly to the board, instead of using a molex. I have no idea if any investigating was done further.
Interesting, thanks...
