All,

For a few months now I have been working on a multipac board. I did it really to re-learn some of the hardware design I have forgotten and to re-"discover" z80 Assembly Language development. I now have a prototype working (hardware and software) that is a simple upgrade to existing Pac boards (remove ROMs, insert a board and a connector, no soldering required). Before I go into production on these, I am reaching out to the KLOV Community to see if there is actually demand/interest for this.

Some features:
- 8 different games

- Pac Man Slow/Fast

- Pacman Plus Slow/Fast
- Ms Pac Man Slow/Fast
- Ms Pacman Plus (different mazes, go through ghost cheat by pressing P1, slow fast by pressing P2)
- Puck Man X (different mazes)
- Menu driven
- If you have the High Score Save (HSS) hack on your board, the multikit will support it
- Screen saver
- View High Score from main menu (if HSS Kit installed)
- Clear High Scores from main menu (if HSS Kit installed)

Attached is a screen shot of what it currently looks like...

Still working out the prices, but it currently appears that I would be able to offer them cheaper than any other multipac solution released to day.

Any interest?

Seriously? Another multi-pac? Isn't Pac at it's maximum level of multi-evolution?

How about a multi-galaga, multi-ANYTHING other than Pac?

You have a point, but an inexpensive one that saves high scores (I assume a high score for each game... correct me if I am wrong). Seems like there was a need.

Great job! I think the menu looks really slick.

Thought I would throw Slava some free publicity here. You can get on of the NVRAM boards for a measly $20. Shoot him a PM, these things work great!

I have talked to Slava about maybe bundling it into the multi to save a few bucks...

Why isn't Glob or Super Glob ever on these kits? If it was, I'd be in.

I honestly have not played Glob before. I can take a look to see how difficult it would be... If its easy, tt would just be a ROM swap...

Correct, I should have been clearer. High scores are saved individually for each game. You can view the High Score table from the main menu without going into the game itself...

What would it take to add Pac JR??

A lot. It's hardware is very different...

However, I might be able to do some different versions if there is enough interest for other pac games if there are ones on the list that you dont want...

My suggestion is not to kill it by adding too many games... simple is better in my opinion.

Just make sure that the attract mode actually moves some stuff around so you don't get the world famous "I can play Pacman and my machine has been turned off for three years" screen burn. :D
