gauging interest in golden tee fore "xtra" 2005 board and drive

id like to upgrade, but want to see what i could get out of this stuff before i do.

I have a golden tee fore! 2005 "xtra". It has a newer drive with the "xtra" stuff on it its the green boardset. 7 courses.

I want to upgrade to complete, but i want to see what this 2005 boardset is worth first, or if your really interested lmk.
i suppose the translite would be available as well.

basically what will be available is:

- a working boardset,
- working drive(just bought last year) with the "xtra" feature on it,
- and possiblly the translite IF i located a complete translite.(this is a standard 2005 marquee does not advertise the xtra feature)

nobody interested? found a "complete" board just have to buy the hard drive, getting motovated to sell soon.

this 2005 pcb set could be available sooner rather than later.

I want to see if i can get a buyer lined up before i pull the trigger on the other stuff. As far as price goes im thinking somewhere in the $200s...

no reputable ebayer has a nice working set available right now. theres a couple junk boards from questionable sellers thats about it.

How many courses does the 2005 "Extra" board have? I've always picked up the GT2005 boards for about $100-$130, these are the boards with the standard 5 courses.

I thought the extra was the 2 extra tournament courses that arent even playable unless your connected to the fore servers which isnt anymore? am i wrong? My gt2005 has the 2 courses for the tournament but no where does it say extra, it shows them in the attract mode, but since the stats were reset it doesnt show any of the great shots cause they dont exist.

The 'extra' set came out in 2004. you could update a Golden Tee 2004 board with it. If you did, when you updated THAT board to 2005, it still had those extra two courses. So you can have

GT 2004, with 5 courses
GT 2004 with 7 courses
GT 2005 with 5 courses
GT 2005 with 7 courses

If you buy the gt 2005 hard drive that has the 7 courses on it, it'll work in a 5 course game pcb, you just won't be able to access the extra two courses because you don't have the update installed on the pcb. That's probably what's going on with yours.

hmm.. i seem to remember 7 courses( and a bunch more not there thanks to it net) plus i see the "xtra" thing pop up in attract mode every now and again..

i guess i have one of the nicer 2005 pcb/drive sets

im gonna have to check now...

Yes you probably have the 7 course, Extra 2005. The one he's talking about is the regular one, with just the 5 courses. It had some others that could be played, but only online like he said. The Extra lets you play 7 courses offline, the two extra courses are only on the 2004 extra and 2005 extra boards.
