I'm working on miniature PVC arcade models that will be available in two different sizes: 2.5" tall keychains and 4" tall desktop models, and will include decal sheets. All models will be cast in black PVC unless required by certain cabs (orange/blue DK, etc)

Current prototypes currently in production:

Ms. Pac-Man
Galaga
Tempest
TRON
Donkey Kong
Space Invaders

Cabs in design phase:

Centipede
Millipede
Galaxian
Frogger
Q*bert
Xevious

Cabs up for consideration:

Discs of TRON
Asteroids
Moon Patrol
Jungle Hunt
Mario Bros.
Battlezone
Crazy Climber
Space Ace
Dragon's Lair
any others, send me a PM with ideas!

I won't be taking pre-orders until the first batch of prototypes arrive and I can vouch for their quality. Keychains will run $8.00, desktop models $15.00 (KLOV member discount price). If they do well enough here, I will be offering them though my Amazon Storefront, with KLOVers getting the same discounted price. Models will come with a decal sheet for easy application, keychains will come pre-labeled and painted. I will be updating this post with pictures once the prototypes arrive.

Sweet, I may be interested in both for DK.

So Hot Topic/Spencer's will work out the legal/licensing with Nintendo, Namco, Disney, etc. to possibly sell them?

I can't commit to anything until I see them, but I may be in for a couple of the 4" ones.

Yep, that would be something they'd handle on their end. Right now its just an idea that I've submitted to them. If one of them picks it up, they'd handle all the official licensing, etc and I'd basically pass the torch to them from that point.

For now, I'm basically having prototypes made for my "personal use", then I'll make a limited quantity for KLOVers. To avoid any potential IP issues from the licensees you mentioned, I *may* have to just create them as kits, with blank models and decal sheets that you'd apply yourself. I'm waiting for my lawyer to get back with me, whether or not I can sell them pre-labeled.

Yeah I wouldn't expect anyone to pre-order anything until I have something to show. I know you guys have been burned in the past (the Recognizer neon sign comes to mind), so right now I'm gauging interest and figuring out how many of each to have produced initially.

Key Chan m=Models

I might be for all in the key chains, but I would rather have them without the key chain part. Would like to see them when they come in.

I'd buy a couple for my desk at work. I look forward to
seeing them.

Wasnt someone else around here making small model arcade
games and taking pictures of them with action figures?
I think they were for sale as well.

...what I'm working on, they're miniature arcade models two different sizes: 2.5" tall keychains and 4" tall desktop knick-knacks for work, home or wherever. They'll be solid PVC or ABS. All the side art/marquees etc will be on decal sheets, and if I can get away with it legally, I'll pre-apply them before shipping. ...

Cool idea.

Mini cab. replicas.

This ebay seller used to sell them: http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayI...=positive&interval=365&_trkparms=positive_365

They looked perfect, down to every detail;buttons, joysticks, coin doors, etc....He did pins too, I think he built to order as well as the well known classics... There was also an article about him in the former Gameroom Magazine. Looks like he was booted off ebay, possibly for copyright infringement?

Don't know if these were some of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrLh-QADPzg

Those aren't bad. Mine won't have the 3D reliefs under the bezels like those, just decals, hence the price. I don't have anyone (yet) who could do the painting of all those little features en masse. Maybe in the future I could look at doing something similar, or backlight the screens. the prototypes and first runs will be just solid PVC.

Nice idea though.

I would probably buy a set of these in the 4in size. Ms. Pacman, Tempest, Donkey Kong, Galaga, TRON and Space Invaders. Since I'm sure the art could be printed ay home or from a source like this old game it might be cool if the nintendo cab was made in blue and orange so we could have DK and DK jr. maybe even a navy blue for DIIK.

I would probably buy Space Invaders and maybe a couple others. Would have to just see an example before, like others. But cool idea.
