Just checking to see if it would be worth my time and effort to have these reproduced.

Price would be around $120 for the set.

Chime in if you would be interested in a set.

Thanks!

I would.
I have 3 sets and ALL of them have pieces missing, cracks, or are "bowing".
DPtwiz is making cabinets and playfields, there is repro artwork, if you made plastcs, people could almost build a new cabinet from scratch.

DPtwiz is making playfields? That's wonderful news!

Do you have a link to that post. Can't pull it up in search for some reason.

Thanks!

Years ago, someone took some used, sanded Baby Pac playfields and rescreened them. Seem to recall it was a very limited project. Might want to research who did that and get with them.

Before making plastics, I'd double check if CPR is doing them soon.

That's because there's no post. It's something he told me a few months back. PM him directly to investigate. I was supposed to send him one of my playfields but I haven't done it yet.

If he's waiting on me... then he needs to let me know and I'll get it to him.

I'd be in for a set - mine are nicely warped. Would this include the two "spinner" pieces as well?

Not the spinners, no as those are made out of heavy gauge steel. There are decals for those on Ebay though. Makes them look like new.

The guy that did the re screened sanded Baby Pac playfields name was Jaysun. Don't remember if that was his real name or a handle. I sanded down a spare playfield and sent it to him and I got it back 9/27/2001. Their's pictures of it and the story on my Baby Pac-man web page.

I don't remember how much it cost but it looked great but it turned out to have one flaw which I did not notice at the time. Look at the pictures, the word Energizers was spelled wrong. It's missing the R and spelled Enegizers on the new play field. I don't know if it was a mistake or if it was done on purpose so you could tell it was a repo. Because of this and the fact the one in my game still looks pretty good I never used it and have it in storage.

Wow. You got your Baby Pac from Andrew Culpovich?

I remember him. I bought several things from him back in 2000/1 time frame. Even went down to a warehouse in Des Moines where he had stuff. I liked dealing with him but I remember many folks on RGVAC/M complaining about him too.

Old times!

I'd be in for a set if this ever gets off the ground. Mine are all imperfect, cracked faded. Restoration will never be complete without new plastics...
