GaryMcT's "City 17 Arcade" as of Thanksgiving 2012

Took some crappy shots today of the basement arcade. Still a lot of decorating and remodeling to do, but here's the current state of things:

PS: Anyone get the City 17 reference?

Dang man you have a really nice selection of games and a very cool layout. I love the colors (with the stripes) you chose. What an awesome space, congrats.

Love it! Very stylish and refined in layout and decor -- perfect setting for the arcade :D

Nice - well you work at Valve so... all of those shots are in the basement?

yeah sorry Gary, I need to still look for those monitor kit parts. I think I still have them.

Thanks guys. Really digging it. Also very fortunate I have friends that also geek out on working on games so that we can keep them running.

Also, all the games that aren't in my signature are loaners. I wish they were all mine! :)

Eventually the kitchen area will have less games and look more like a diner with booths, etc. there are a couple of unused rooms that we need to use. Have some walls to knock down too.

Wow, very classy! What's that football pinball game? Never saw that before. Looks really neat.

USA Football. It is pretty neat. It's giant downfall are the switches on the flippers to detect when the ball hits the flippers. Makes the flippers not work very well. They are there so you can play against the computer, but ate used in versus also. Would be way better if some engineered a better flipper switches.

They did a soccer game like that too, right? Neat.

Yes. All in the basement. Was finished to be a secondary living quarters, but didn't end up getting used. Is way nicer than if we had designed it from the start as an arcade. An arcade doesn't be that nice of a kitchen!

No rush on those parts kits! :)
