I recently came into possession of a hacked up Marble Madness Cabinet. I thought this would be an excellent project, as they are wierd and somewhat rare. Nearly all of the parts are missing, (AR III, PCB, Daughter Card, and Control Panel.) But I don't have a problem waiting for those, as long as this is possible. I just saw inside mine that I think a vital part is missing, and only 2 wires inside of the molex plug, and a missing cap.

Now, since I don't know much about the wiring in this thing, is it possible to just buy another cap, and molex w/ all the required wires, or could one of you guys make one for me? Or is it time to take this thing up to the roof?

that should be a fairly easy resto....system 1 cab's dont have as much wiring as other atari cabs. big blue caps can be bought in a lot of places. if you need pictures on how fix the wiring on the power brick i can take a few to help you thru it. as long as the cab doesn't have any water damage i would continue with your project.

here is a pic i found in a old thread from klover cartouche.

NOOB Question: What gauge wire are these, what kind of "tool" do i need to get the old cut wires out of the molex, and put new ones in? Can someone link me one so I can buy a tool/set. Also, Is there a place I can just buy the two new Molex connecters I need for this?

The cabinet is in excellent shape. Heres how it stands. No water damage, only minor bondo needed. I just got it stripped and bondo'd when i saw im missing a blue cap and have cut wires.

Thanks, I have pieced together which wires come out of the molex to the power supply, but I have a few more questions.

1. Do you know where I can get a molex plug that fits into the AR board, after I rebuild the wiring?

2. Where I can get the cap that the the orange and purple wires connect to. Also, Where Is a good place to buy those color wires, and eyelets, and the pins for the Molex?

3. Its hard to see from the picture, can you tell me what wires go into the molex that connects to the AR Board?

So the two big blue capactors are identical? I've been looking online for how to wire/crimp those molex plugs, but I'm not finding much, i know its pretty basic, but I've never done it before.

- Going to paint the cabinet tonight. Bondod and sanded all the gouges, broken corners, and flaky channels and rerouted. Im going to paint it Satin Black, then put the atari side art on. I'll snap a few pictures.

Ok, I got the board and the harness in. However, Im missing two connections on it. One is the white 9 pin connector, and the other is the 9 pin molex that connects to the AR board. Anyone know where I can get these?

OK. I've rebuilt the power supply end of the harness. I think I have it almost ready. Just a couple more questions.

1. Where do the small wires in pins 8 and 9 go. (They are blue on your harness.) Do these power the volcano switches on the CP?

I have all the red, purple and orange wires ready, can you tell me where they go on the 9 pin that attaches to the AR board? Thanks.
