I'm trying to decide on picking up a project and wanted to see pics of the cabinets that were in the worst condition before being restored.

Basically, who here has brought a cabinet the farthest back from trash?

Thanks.

I should post a few pics of my free Centipede I found in the trash that I'm slowly patching up.

Spent 3 days in the rain (but isn't all that water damaged for some reason, no swelling that I can see), has 2 nice kick holes in it (a small one in the side and a big one in the front), the sides are slightly smashed near the top of the marquee on both sides, both sides where the wood meets the control panel are smashed to almost nonexistance, the monitor works but has some Arkanoid burn in and is in need of a recapping, has a switcher hacked in to feed the working (surprizing actually) Arkanoid PCB, busted gears on the spinner so it locks up once in a while (A nice hard turn usually frees it), the CP is drilled to hell and back and has cigarette burnt plexi on the top of it. It needs a lot of work but in the end it'll make a great Dig Dug (I've been banned from bringing in any more cabs, and I'd want a Dig Dug over a Centipede)

I guess it all comes down to how long has it been in the elements and how much work you're willing to put into it. How bad is the project you're concidering?

And holy piss that Moon Patrol puts my Centipede cab to shame. If I'm reading it right it was just kinda sitting in a field? Thats gonna be a bear to fix

Vintage's Moon Patrol is pretty epic....there were mushrooms growing inside of it for Pete's sake!

agreed, hard to believe the monitor still worked after sitting out there.

Does it say anywhere in the tread how long that thing sat outside?
