Looking at possibly getting one. Just wondering what they're worth. What's the board set worth alone? Artwork available for these still? it's possibly a conversion.

Thanks.

It's an odd game..
Sometimes it sells from 400 to 500
Other times people have a hard time selling it for 150 to 275 range.

Cheapest I seen a board sold was 75, the most I seen one sell for was 125

Yah, I cleaned up a really bad scan.

I didn't concern myself with getting it perfect as I didn't try and duplicate the artist's signature on the original.

On my Gaplus the marquee disintegrated.

One thing I foolishly did when I bought my dedicated cabinet was that I sold the boardset I had before as I figured I didn't need two.

Well it turns out the boardset I sold was the Japanese Namco version (I knew this) but what I didn't know was that the Namco version is much easier. And by easier I mean really hard instead of impossible like the midway version. Additionally the Namco version has a longer name entry and blood type entry too on the high score table.

I suggest you try and get that version.

Personally in my mind not worth it. To me Galaga is special because of the nostalgic game play; take that away and there is not really much fun to it. Galplus is a much different game than Galaga.

I gotta disagree with this post. I understand it, but I do disagree with it. Gaplus is the answer to those people who say Galaga is too easy. Try plugging a Gaplus PCB in a Galaga cab. You have to learn the patterns of the floor sweepers to keep from loosing your ship. Its challenging, involves strategy and pattern recall. The game as a whole is just awesome. That being said, you aren't going to put up 1 million scores every time you play...or ever. But I never broke 1 million on Galaga till I stared playing Gaplus. It makes you a better galaga player. In short, its like Galaga on crack.

Ok cool. I found some artwork for the Marque, but can't find the control panel or bezel anywhere.

Like I said, I did the marquee add ineeded one.

The bezel and control panel art don't exist. Maybe some day I will scan mine.

I think exidy was selling full set. It might have been someone else.
