Hey everyone

Just wondering has anyone ever repaired a Gaplus PCB that has incorrect sprite color? Can't seem to work this one out and why the color is incorrect. Originally pcb had a video issue where 6N prom was the issue now after replacing 6N all video is back to normal but the sprite color is wrong

I have replaced 6P and 6S but no change

Other then that game plays fine

The only thing that comes to mind is that does this game require 8148 rams because originally these 2 rams were shot so i replaced them with 2148-55 rams i got a feeling that maybe my issue

Ive checked customs 29 and 1182 in a working Pacland pcb and tested OK so other then that i am at a loss

The 8148 is a cross to 2148 SRAM.

Did the sprite EPROMs check out ok ? They're at 11R, 11P, 11N, 11M ( on the namco style small board, not sure where they are on a midway style board ).

yes all those are fine the section of the namco schimatic floating around does match from those 2 proms ect but the layout is different

so i can rule out ram then hmm

http://www.arcade-museum.com/images/120/1205550647.jpg thats he same as my pcb but the schimatics that are uploaded are for a different layout

just noticed somthing seems there is a mod wire thats not fitted on my pcb looked at a few others online seem to all have that wire fitted hmm have to see if i can work out what its fir and why

Found the issue

Prom GP2.2 at 2N had a very brittle leg which was just not making contact

repaired the leg and all sprites color is back to normal
