I have an original Gaplus cabinet, and appear to only be getting 5V on my 12V line. Not having 12V, I still get sound with either the original Gaplus board, or a 48-in-1 (hooked up via one of those Gaplus->JAMMA cabinet adapters), but when I plug in a Black Tiger board, which is JAMMA, I get no sound. I assume this is because it needs 12V and I'm only getting about 5. What do I need to look for? I'm not a newb when it comes to playing arcade games, but I am when it comes to troubleshooting them ;) I did figure out on the power supply board where the 5V and 12V adjustment pots are, but adjusting the 12V did nothing. The schematics that come with the Gaplus manual are horrible BTW (they're available at crazykong.com, but lots of the lines are very faint, and that's how my original manual looks) Thanks for any tips/ideas/suggestions!
Edit: Forgot to mention, the Black Tiger board worked just fine in a friends JAMMA cab, so I know the sound works ok on it.

Gaplus 12VDC Problem

I had a similar problem, I had no 12 VDC on main board. I found JW4 cut off and a bad (cold) solder joint. As you know your problem is on the power supply board. Zener Diode VR 101 is where 12vdc 4amps. If you have the 90412 power supply. And yes reproduced schematics are bad have to blow up 300% to see them. Get another power supply. I have used a computer power supply. Hope this helps Leo Also check the connectors and wires, They are 30 years old.
