Gap or no gap?

I only have room for 4 games in the house so I have about an inch between, otherwise I could only have 3 games since I still need access to the closet. I like them closer together anyway. - Barry

I usually have 1/2 inch between games for just a little bit of wiggle room. I have too many games to space it out any more than that. I too will clean / wipe them off about every month or two to keep the dust down.

Looks like I'm in the minority here but I consider these games works of art and therefore if I can't show them off, what's the point. I have about three feet between my games but I only have two.

I prefer the arcade look, jammed together to maximize space. I am not too worried about the side art as I am one of those that go for the slightly rustic arcade patina on my games.

basically no Gap especially if the sides are already in need of restoration.

If there is pristine sideart on one to preserve, i would blue tape a piece of cardboard in between to space them.

Gap, perferably with those wooden shelves in between each game that you can set your drink on. This is ideal, but space is usually a limiting factor.

I have probably 18 inches between games(at least). You can see the side art on all the games. However, before I sold a bunch of games last year, they were much closer together in certain areas of my arcade. I personally wouldn't touch any of them together.

I had the same issue until I reorganized, now I'm back up to my 18" or more between games. It just give people a chance to crowd around a game to watch someone playing. I think space makes it a more social thing personally.

as far as what jawhn said, if i had 6 more inches of space, i'd have them all touching, cause then i'd have enough room to squeeze one more cab in there. but with all my gaps, i only have about 18 inches of free space there, so there's not enough to justify having them all touching each other.

I keep mine right next to each other, no gaps if I can help it. I also stagger my games 1 player/2 player... so that there isn't a 2 player next to a 2 player. You can still have someone playing the one player and two people next to them on a two player...

Yep this is pretty much what I do. I do keep an inch to an inch and a half between games so that I can pull one out if I need to.
