Gangbusters Rifle Game

I missed out on one 45 minutes from me last year for only $250. I responded to the add as soon as I got off work and someone beat me to it by 30 minutes. The tommy gun is much more appealing to me than other rifle games.

I'm still looking myself. Not much luck though.

Gangbusters by Midway

Looking for a midway Gangbusters rifle/arcade in missouri or possibly in the surrounding states.

Hi...New to this site. I have a Gangbusters in storage that I might sell. Looks complete, but probably non-working. Very decent condition. SW Missouri near Springfield.

It may be a few days before I can get some pics. I haven't even powered it on yet, I will try to in a couple of days. The only thing missing was the trigger handle on the gun, but the rest was there. It was in storage the last 15 years.

Powered it up for the first time and noticed a few bugs to work out. One of the plastic couplers that connects the motor to the score and timer reels is broken. Does anyone know if these are easy to find and who might have these?

I am not sure about the exact part you are talking about. However not many of the parts for this game are going to be easy to find. :001_ssad:

According to pinrepair.com, it is called a nylon coupler gear and is used on all of the midway scoring reels. Not sure if it is the same as EM pinballs as I do not have one to compare it to. Steve Young is the only one that comes to mind that might have some, but if not, I'm not sure where to start looking.

Will get pics posted soon, but I had a maintenance guy from work mill some new coupler gears from steel. They they turned out great. Most of the game is working now, other than the score reel continues to spin through the entire game and the targets do not register hits. Any ideas on possible causes?

There is probably a leaf switch in the score reel that is not opening or closing correctly, this will make the game constantly run. Fixing this may let the targets score as well since the game is probably not getting fully reset.

Still trying to figure out the scoring problem, the 100's reel doesn't completely reset to zero. Even if you manually turn the reel to zero, it still wants to keep scoring. The hit relay seems to be energized, so when the timer starts it continues to score. I'm finding the schematics somewhat confusing trying to understand them. I took a break for a bit and took these pics
