It works great for RPGs, I've been playing Final Fantasy 3, and aside from not being able to do some of Sabin's special moves, it's perfectly fine. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Playing old console games with touchscreen controls is teh suck.
Hahaha. Yeah, I'm sure I did. But I was also like 12 or younger, I think, so I doubt I cared. No one had any idea what it was and those who asked thought it was amazing. Little did they know how truly bad it was.Dude, I can't see someone trying to play a Virtual Boy in public. You must have looked like a total loser. But that's awesome at the same time.![]()

Mario Clash was effing awesome. I really hope they port it to 3DS.
A virtual boy multi-cart would be awesome. Hadn't thought about VB ports until now.
Ports in color would be preferable if they decide to do it. That red and black is an eye sore.
Agreed, but I'd still like to see the old-school low-res graphics.
As bad as the VB was,I can't see them remaking any game from that system.I mean you don't see them remaking games from other really horrible systems.( I think anyway.)
Suddenly my iphone isn't so cool.....

I don't know if it will work with the iPhone but I run the snes, nes, genesis emulators on my iPad and use the wiimote for control.
I tried this last night on my wife's iPad. It's nowhere near as good in quality as what I can accomplish on my Droid X.
The Wiimote works for the most part, but it still doesn't feel entirely responsive. Plus, you can't connect a classic controller and map keys. The emulators don't emulate well themselves (NES was way too fast, SNES lagged, screen cut off on top, etc.) The applications are buggy and have ugly menus, and not as many setting options.
Not trying to start a Droid vs. Apple discussion, just stating that it's not good on the iPod/iPhone/iPad.
Really?
Not sure which emulators you used, the SNES one seems a little fast to me but I didn't see any cutoff of the top, the NES one seemed spot on, and the Genesis one worked very well for me, I didn't notice any lag, menus are not that great, button mapping would have been nice as they mapped the Genesis one using the trigger button on the wiimote for the "C" button on the Genesis.
I did like that they built in the ability to download roms instead of having to FTP them into the device though.
I'm using whatever one is in Cydia that has Wiimote support. I think it's NES A.D. and SNES A.D. Yeah, I mean it works and could suffice, but still not as good. I agree with the rom downloader too. It's not a downloader as much as a portal to a website.
nah I really like playing emulators on my PSP.....![]()
