My buddy and I were having this conversation on New Years over beers.
The one game that came to mind was Blade Runner.
I wish they would have made an arcade version based on the movie.

Dukes of Hazard ...
A-Team ...
Scooby-Doo ...
etc... etc... etc...

I always thought a Dukes of Hazard pinball would rock... with a ball ramp/jump...

The Adventures of Ginger and or Amber Lynn the video game

Dukes of hazard would be sweet! My wife thinks there should be a smurfs pinball machine made.

A true sequel to Bosconian. Not counting Blast Off as that game is much too different from Bosconian and it wasn't released outside of Japan.

Movies-wise:

Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade - I loved Atari's TOD, was hoping Atari would give the sequel a go around. Alas - nothing.

Batman Returns - Another one Atari put on and nothing. Could've done like a Final Fight clone in the same vain as the SNES version.

The Plague

Matrix Blaster, Space Paranoids, and Flynn's other games made as conversion kits for Tron.
(I am very much aware of the modern Space Paranoids made for Legacy, BTW)

A 1982/3 sequel to Tempest; with Color X/Y, the whole deal.

A contemporary Arcade game for the 1st Ghostbusters movie, from 1984. Would have been made by Gottleib/Mylstar most likely.

I really wish Ms. Gorf made it out. The surviving video is intriguing.

There were two Spelunker arcade games released by Irem as well as four Lode Runner games all of which were licensed from Broderbund. I don't know if any of these games were released outside of Japan.

was any variant of Bomberman ever released in the arcade world?

this is the only game that comes up: http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8974

...and that's more of a tetris clone

Bomber Man (Irem) - http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7182
Bomber Man World (Irem) - http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7183
Neo Bomber Man (Hudson Soft) - http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8844

Also Exvania (Namco) is a similar type of game - http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=7741

Sequel to Astro Blaster and a true sequel to Vanguard (note Vanguard II is too different from the original).
