I was just thinking about the games that I love playing when I get home and have time to step into the arcade. I'll usually fire up a game of Burgertime, Q*bert, Galaxian or Wacko. Maybe play a game or two of Moon Patrol or a couple of quick games of Dig Dug. I love turning on TRON and always play at least one game before I move back to Burgertime. Today I started going over my current 'keeper' game list and realized that there are some machines I just haven't played in quite a while. I turn them on every couple of weeks, but for some reason I don't even bother playing. My list:

Tempest
Asteroids Deluxe
Donkey Kong
GORF

Now, I don't hate these games nor am I sick of them, but for some reason, I just don't play them much anymore. Wonder why? Maybe I just hit a plateau and I know that no matter how hard I try, I will never get any better at them? Maybe having so many games at my disposal makes it easy to skip several and focus on the ones I really like playing? Weird phenomenon. Anyhoo, what 'keeper' games have you been neglecting?

T2. I have it more for the cab and the Terminator fan in me than anything else.

My daughter enjoys playing the game but I hardly ever turn it on for myself.

My Missile Command machine is not used very often -- since it's a cocktail table, and located in my basement, it usually ends up with a pile of stuff on top of it (but, in my defense, I do have a dust blanket over it so it stays protected.

I tend to go in stages of interest for my games. Kind of depends on what I'm doing with them (working on them, etc). But for the most part, my beloved Pengo tends to go through its video demo mode unplayed more often than not. I DO love the game and it's overall in good shape. Maybe it's because I'm pretty terrible at it that it doesn't get as much love as it should? Who knows. I'm also concentrating on other games that need my attention in some way, shape or form.

Warrior. I always win and lose when I play it by myself so I don't bother. :) I love Defender but for some reason I don't touch it. Missile Command is another. I still love these games and could never let them go unless I had to for some reason.

I never play tron, lol. Though if the fX@#$@$% 100+ degree heat would go away I would get a game in while my family is out of town. (it' s a minimum 2 hour commitment)

I always play whirlwind and pga 2007 golf. play a quick game of asteroids, play some wacko, kozmik krooz'r, battlezone. Major havoc hasn't been on (for more than hearing the sounds) for a few months.

My Operation Wolf. After wrestling with it to get it working for so long, I hardly play it anymore. Mostly because I am terrified something will break when I play it lol. I cringe with fear and cross my fingers every time I turn it on, that it will work.

All of them. I've been working so much for the last year that I think I've only had them on a handful of times. I don't see it changing much soon. I go back to working my 40 hour day job then working my bar job Weds-Thurs-Fri nights for the next 6 months. So 70 hour weeks will take their toll. But I've pretty much decided that by 2013 I'll be pretty much debt free with only my truck to pay for. I figure that will afford me the chance to put my gameroom/bar basement in sooner than I originally could. So for now, I'm snagging any deals and putting them away for another day.

Seems to be all or nothing around here. If I'm having a game night with buddies, everything will get some amount of play. I go weeks or sometimes months between game nights though, depending on what other hobby ADD has kicked in.

The ones I don't play much are:

Galaga (got too good at it, scoring a million points takes a lot of time)
Donkey Kong (too hard, I never seem to be able to get more than 100k even with the game set to 10 lives to start)
Joust
Mario Bros (only seems to be fun with 2 players)
Stargate (usually half working)

My mom's birthday is coming up. She'll be 64 on July 23. We (the wife and I) had a 4th-of-July party last Saturday night and mom was there. I asked her what she wanted for her b-day and her answer sparked a conversation. Both she and I feel that we have everything we need and most of what we want. The only distinction was that she wants a night with me alone (a "date" [No, don't think that because this is Texas that a "date" means what you hope it does! :D) and that I want MORE SPACE.

ALL I want among material things right now is more space in which to put the stuff I already have.

I have 29 games right now and haven't played a single one since I played After Burner the day I brought it home 2 weekends ago.

This weekend I 'perfectionedly' level my 2nd games building. (And then the next weekend I'll connect its breaker box and install an (or both) air conditioner(s). And then the weekend after that I'll finish the floor and ceiling and...

I can't wait until I can play, again.
I guess I'm "too much" German.

For me it's the DK CT. I am using it for a flat surface right now due to the horrible joysticks and need to sit or crouch to play. All my other games are upright. Aside from the crystal clear authentic CRT in my DK I would generally rather play it on my MAME cab with a nice Happ leaf stick and responsive button. So sad though since it's such a nice clean machine.

I'm looking to buy a nice dedicated Pigskin 621AD, and willing to pay a lot for it.....and then I'm sure I won't play it enough.
Right now I haven't played Wrestlefest enough, and that's a pretty fun game!

Sadly since last years CAX my game room has not fully come back together. Although I've played a few games here and there, for the most part I have played almost none of my games for nearly a year now. I've probably put in less play time over the past year on my games than I would usually have put in in a weeks time.

I have only been playing on one row for the last few months, so I haven't touched the pins or the Hydro Thunders. When I go out there, I play a game of DK, then either Gyruss or Stunt Cycle. Once in a while, I will play Millipede. I haven't played Tempest in months, and I really don't know why. I kinda miss it.

I almost never play Dragon's Lair. About the only time I do is when I have someone over and they want to play it. Of course, they can't get past the first screen so I have to take over and show them that the game is not impossible ...

P.S. It still isn't going anywhere. ;-)

My Zoo Keepers monitor has been dead since last July. What a waste :(
