Games You Never See?

Two games that I rarely see or hear mentioned are Taito's Moon Shuttle and Gottlieb's New York New York. A local laundromat near my house had these games BITD, but I don't recall ever seeing them for sale or hardly ever mentioned on these forums.

I saw a New York New York once. It was in a very leaky storage building in South Dakota. It wasn't totally destoryed but many of the games in the building were.

Super Pac-Man.

I just saw one of these in the wild at a flea market near Pottsville, PA. Not sure if they were for sale, but I didn't have a vehicle to take them with anyway. Would have loved to get that Carnival.

The only one I can really think of off the top of my head is Turkey Shoot, but just a few days ago I think somebody had one for sale or something. It's the first time I've seen anything about it since it was in the arcade... the "flying feathers" effect was memorable.

I've enjoyed mine for the past several years, it may have been the one you saw for sale as its currently on the sale block. The feathers were the prime reason I got it, pure novelty

Here she is.... extra bag of feathers sitting on control panel.

Rescue by Stern.

Corner deli where I grew up had one in the early 80's. I've only seen one other one, owned by someone I picked games up from about 5 or 6 years ago. It wasn't for sale at the time.

I love this game, and really only get to play it in MAME.

Cool! Like Machfelon I don't know the last time I saw MM since 91 in the wild and thought it was a pretty popular game BITD...

It's on the "list" to restore... Needs a bunch of work... Empty/generic System 1 cabinet (originally RoadBlasters), needs side-art, monitor was working but I stole it for another project, picked up a Marble Madness System 1 kit including a relatively nice control panel, marquee, manual and boardset.

While I'm on the subject, the Pinball Parlour in Earlington, PA does have a Marble Madness in their collection. Here's a pic from their old building... http://www.pinball-parlour.com/view5.php?id=64

It's due for an update (I maintain the site for the Parlour), but you can click on Game List at the top of the page to get a general idea of what's in the place.

How about any of those Stern games in the Bagman style cab??

Is that at Zern's Auction in Gilbertsville? The hallways looks like it may be.

I used to go there once a summer but haven't made it down there in a few years. I love that place! It's just the many people who think bathing in summer is an option that bothers me. :)

That was going to be my guess as well. I don't recall games int he hall like that, at least not the last time I was there, but they did have a game room with some older stuff.

Oh come on Bill!! Just pretend you're at a pinball show, LOL!!

No, it's a place called Renninger's Market off of 61 near Pottsville. Not sure if it's related to the Renninger's of Kutztown. The games were near a food stand inside the market.

Ah, okay. I have been there too (I think) when we went to the Yuengling brewery tour :)

Need to go back!

Any series that's centered around upgrade kits tends to have a couple versions that are extremely hard to find, despite those versions being made in the same numbers as newer and older versions that are far more common. Just try to find a Beatmania Complete Mix 1... the most common BM versions are Core Remix and Complete Mix 2. (Come to think of it, just TRY to find an original Beatmania 1st drive+ROM set. I don't think they even exist anymore...)
