I've been in this hobby for quite a number of years now. Started collecting and repairing around 1995, but have been playing forever.

I was at a campground this weekend and they had a fully working Pigskin in their arcade. I realized it had been probably 20 years since I had seen one of these. (Edit: I think the one local arcade I used to frequent had bought one new.) I figured being "in the hobby/business" that I'd have stumbled across one of these since then, but I honestly can say I don't think I have.

That got me to thinking... There are a handful of games that I never see anymore... Two specifically come to mind... Pigskin 621 A.D. and Xenophobe.

The last Xenophobe I saw was probably 10+ years ago at TNT Amusements in their showroom.

I'm including "seeing" as having been mentioned on the forums and newsgroups, pictures, eBay, CraigsList, etc. (Edit: or even at auctions, arcades, warehouses, etc.) It's like these games have completely disappeared, yet were not really rare to begin with.

Your contributions to the "perceived rarity" list?

The arcade at my mall had Pigskin 621 A.D. back in the day but I havn't seen it since. I've seen Arch Rivals since (Crabtowne USA has one) then but not Pigskin. I always liked Pigskin more than Arch Rivals.

The only one I can really think of off the top of my head is Turkey Shoot, but just a few days ago I think somebody had one for sale or something. It's the first time I've seen anything about it since it was in the arcade... the "flying feathers" effect was memorable.

One of those games to me was a Space Lords. I last saw one in a mall arcade in the early 90's . I don't think it was terribly popular, but I was infatuated with any type of space theme. The dual cab setup probably made them a popular item to scrap. KLOV only says 8 collectors have a dedicated. I sure wouldn't mind coming across a working one someday.

The other one was a cockpit Starblade. I played one in the early 90's, and saw one at an auction 5 years ago. At the time I had no means to pickup cockpits so I passed. I'm still kicking myself over that one.. Those were the only times I saw those, and would also like to get my hands on one. There are 9 listed by KLOV members, and I know at least one of them is overseas.

This game was quirky fun to me. I like it alot. The Pinball Parlour in Earlington, PA had one for a long time, but it's out of their rotation now I think.

Not one you see much, that's for sure.

I saw one of these at an auction recently. I think it went pretty cheap because it's fuck off huge.

Back in the early 80's, I used to play a cockpit Astron Belt all the time at a Bally's Aladdin's Castle arcade. I haven't seen one since, either cockpit or upright. I LOVED that game!

I remember playing it at Galaxy arcade in Christiana Mall, DE. It was the only place I ever saw it, and that place closed many many years ago. Could have in fact been the same machine, given the relative proximity of the two places (less than 70 miles apart!)

Thank you! Thank you!!! I've been trying to remember the name of this game for years.. They had linked Space Lords cabs at Camelot golfland back in the 90's but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it was called. Its
been driving me crazy! I'd like to get this someday if I have extra space and can locate a couple.. Can't remember if the gameplay was stellar or meh...

I was looking for a nice Eliminator for years...eventually had to have one shipped in from Idaho to get it off my list. The only other one I ever saw or played was at LunaCity.

I never see any Marble Madness around this area. Played it in the wild as a kid and have yet to see one since. Seen a couple float around ebay couple years ago but they were in CA and were BIG $$$.

I've got a Super Pac cocktail but never saw one in the wild. Only saw Baby Pac in the wild at one place, back in '82. The same place had a Guzzler. Its the only one I have ever seen. I would love to have one.

If you are ever in Vegas, the Pinball Hall of Fame has a nice Turkey Shoot.

Two games that I rarely see or hear mentioned are Taito's Moon Shuttle and Gottlieb's New York New York. A local laundromat near my house had these games BITD, but I don't recall ever seeing them for sale or hardly ever mentioned on these forums.
