I was wondering what games are in high demand but leave you really wondering why?

My list is:

Tapper - good game but $1000 good? I don't think it was ever that popular on route.
Battlezone - kind of cool by not really a good game.
Disc of Tron - very eh to me.
Pac Mania - ?

Holy cow afterburner!!!! I never understood the demand and hype at all. I destroyed a months allowance on it as a kid in like 1 day. It's a quarter gobbler. Last more than 1 minute and you're a master lol. I loved the music and lights but the game sucks so so much!! That being said....anyone in AZ want one....I need to get rid of this thing lol

Tapper - cool looking cab, but the game gets too hard too quick for me. Low replay value because it doesn't leave me feeling I have a fighting chance.

Tron - another cool looking cab, but the game is just flat for me.

Punch Out - this one is hard for me to put on the list but they are getting pricy and the NES version is just better anyway. Gameplay for the arcade version feels stiff.

Defender - A real classic and has very iconic sounds and artwork. But my hands hurt just looking at the control panel.

Thats a helluva sales pitch ! Lol . For me it's 720 - I tried to like it but never could get into that one .

Mappy, I played it a couple of times on my 60n1 and can not even get past the first level.

Every vs. fighter ever. Bad concept, no scores, no innovation or creativity. Plus there are so many of them and they all seem like different skins of the same game. I know that copying was done for other genres as well but not to the same degree as the vs. fighters. I don't get the appeal at all.

My vote is for you to be banned from KLOV for statements like that...

You must just suck at it... once you learn how to drive properly, it's fun as hell!

For me

Pac-Man = Any variation of this game sucks to me
Tron = I agree with others, Cool cab, but game play

Major Havoc = for me this game blows

Space invaders. I can't play it long enough to clear the first screen. Also agree with all the previous posters on pacman. Total snooze fest.

++++1

I can get to Bald Bull without dying on the NES but can't make it past Glass Joe in the arcade

Dragon's Lair. What a crap game.

I tried playing it a few times but the jumpiness of the lased disc jumping between scenes gives me motion sickness.

Pac Man and Dragon's Lair for sure. I just never liked Pac man and I remember the Dragon's Lairs sat unused after the first month after they showed up at the arcades. Tapper is a pattern game and gets really difficult really quick but I just like mine for some reason, maybe because I had a bar for so long. Two games I never understood the high prices were Red Baron and Warlords. I like Battlezone, but Red Baron was meh to me plus the controls aren't nearly as tight as BZ.
