Games you bought without ever playing?

Just a litle fyi, it is incredibly easy to convert ur ki2 to a ki1, or you could even just drop the cash for a working ki1 board and hdd, plugs right in around $200+ last time I seen though.
But I think getting ki1 sound chips and cf hdd for ur ki2 board will run you something like $75

Is there any way I can add a KI1 board and switch between them in the same cabinet? That would be awesome... I will send you a message so I don't derail the topic.

Ok, glad it's not just me. I'm with dj dns and half of my collection was bought without playing prior.

I can only answer this question on loose technicalities...

I had never played Super Mario Bros. in the wild - in an upright arcade machine, only on NES. But now it's been converted to an Excitebike, which I played the hell out of BITD.

The other technicality is my newest Asteroids cocktail. Played the hell out of the upright, but have never played it on a cocktail before.

(And technically, still haven't, until I get it running... :D)

GHames

Most of the newer games (post 86) that I have bought. I have never played before. Those get sold quickly. The only ones I keep are the ones I have a memory of playing BITD. I have bought several games sight unseen. Does that count?

Golden Tee Classic - bought it at an auction because it was jamma and a 25" screen
Kozmik Kroozr - thought it looked cool and had the EM quality about it with the little saucer inside.
Orbit - never played it because I'd never seen it but I knew it was a Space War knockoff.
280-Zaap! - knew it was like Night Driver but had never actually played it.
Table Tennis - EM wall game. I wanted a wall game and this one came up so I bought it.

Tom

Cheyenne - committed to selling it before I even got it, then played it for the first time and have regretted selling it ever since, especially since it was in almost perfect condition. Ah well, ENDOFLINE is enjoying it now...

Black Widow is the biggest one that comes to mind. I think the major appear was adding a color vector game and the fact I knew it was kind of like Robotron in terms of game play.

Journey-Never seen one at the arcade and never played one- reason for buying I always liked the band Journey growing up and always wanted the game when I started collecting.

Black Widow
Mr and Mrs Pac-Man pinball
Great Guns
Computer Space
Major Havoc

There are quite a few more that I barely remember playing, (I was pretty young), but the list above I dont recall playing, or even seeing, at all.

I have a Gun Fight - never played the arcade version in the wild (first one for me was a pac cocktail in '80)...but I did play the hell out of it on the Bally Astrocade. Still love the game. Great strategy game.

Not so much a game, but a system. I had never even heard of a Red Tent until I became a member of this site. Once I saw one here, I had to get one.

Tekken 3
Maximum Force/Area 51
Worldseries The Season
Continental Circuit - still have yet to play that one
