Ok so what are the games that have an end to them that you can beat and reach the end on a single quarter?

For myself I have 2...BlackTiger and Wardner.....I have not played either game in 20 years but I know if I put a single quarter in either game today I would have the high score and see the end credits.

As for endless games I tip my hat to my deceased brother for his total mastery of Pacman. He bought the Pacman book and memorised the pattern. As soon as his single quarter got taken down from the marquis and he started playing every kid would just walk away because they knew he would be playing until the 100th key stage and beyond...some kids stayed and watched as they had never seen anybody make it past the galaxian stage but they soon lost hope of playing and left the ol 3 star laundromat in Bowness.

Like you, it's been 20 years.

But I could beat Wardner without using any of the "fairy cheats".

Strider by using an exploit where you could get both the support bots attached to my last hit point.

And while there was no end, I could play Gyruss until I was ready to walk away.

Dragon's Lair and Space Ace.

Dragon' Lair, Space Ace, Double Dragon, Ghosts & Goblins, Wardner and probably a couple others I can't remember right now.
What's with Wardner, seems a few people here were able to beat it. I never thought it was that easy... short but not easy.

I'm not *quite* there yet, but it seems like Crystal Castles is pretty doable on one quarter considering that you can warp yourself pretty far into the game. I've been playing a ton lately and have been up to 9-3... almost there! Hopefully soon.

For me it would be Star Wars Trilogy. I got to where I could easily beat that on a single credit every single time and barely miss anything (and somehow still couldn't crack the top 100 scores on the machine I played on).

I could get it on a single credit as well, but sometimes would miss something. It's been years since I've played it though.

I can beat 18 Wheeler on a single credit and I don't even own one! :p I had the highest score on the one our local Wal-mart used to have.

Contra and Metal Slug. Not because I'm particularly good at run and guns, but because I've spent *SO* much time with them.

Black Tiger and Wardner for me too. Midnight Resistance, Karnov, vsSMB, Paperboy, Double Dragon, Bad Dudes, SF2, MK2, off the top of my head. Could play Gauntlet for hours and leave the game with 20,000+ health. There were others too, I was obsessed in grade school and middle school. Most of these were at 7-11 in Dearborn, Mi.

I recently played Karnov and couldn't make it half way thru the first board :p
