Games we see less & less

Dedicated Ghosts N Goblins
Dedicated Karnov
Dedicated Rygar
Dedicated Heavy Barrel
Dedicated Rush N Attack

It seems like the mid-late 80's games that were everywhere at the end of the decade must have all gotten converted to Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat or Arkanoid.

...

huh?

Dedicated Karnov
Dedicated Rygar
Dedicated Heavy Barrel
Dedicated Rush N Attack

all conversions :) Still see plenty of these around too. Just picked up both a rush n attack and heavy barrel in the past few weeks.

Ooo - oooo! *frantic waving of hand* I just remembered three games (conversions) I saw everywhere when I was younger, and almost never see nowadays:

Empire City: 1931
Shoot Out
Arlington Horse Racing

That's probably why I don't see very many. Didn't they put any of those games in dedicated cabs? Not even the Data East title? And I have never seen a Rush N Attack of any sort in my 7 years of looking.

I think some of it depends on where you are located. There is no shortage of Ladybug machines around my area; both dedicated and conversions are popping up all the time.

The game that I do remember being in all the arcades I went to, and I never see anywhere anymore is Rip Off.

Add to that many of them have badly faded artwork...
Very true. I had one that was horribly faded and was a project cab that needed parts, especially a complete control panel. I found a guy on CL that had 2 MK cabs and I took a gamble on the one that had been painted over and partially uncovered. The artwork is in really great shape overall with no fading. The other side has more scratches, but still better than what I had. :)

Are these really becoming scarce? Seems like a lot of collectors own this one. Not to mention I have seen it up for sale in all forms in the last year.

Seems like out of the last ten I've seen for sale about 1 was saved and the rest were parted. Not sure if those parts helped save any machines but on the surface it looks like they are fading quickly. Mainly because the boards have acid damage. Sad too because most of the cabs I've sen have been in awesome condition.

I've not seen one for sale either. Makes me figure there will never be side art done for it :(

Universal games... yeah.

Space Panic
Cosmic Avenger
Cosmic Guerrilla

another i havent seen for a while is Radarscope.

Anyone else notice that most new 'warehouse find' threads all deal with a lot newer titles from the early 1990's and up? Even the beat up older games on craigslist around here are just conversions.
