Games that you're glad to have gotten out of your sight!

Punch out.. for whatever reason I just could not get into it once I had it around to play all the time. Was fun for a day or two and then just sat there unplayed.

Only game where I can say I liked the NES version way more then the arcade.

Doesnt help that the cab is a monstrosity to move with the two monitors.

This bothersome sonofabitch. Worked well for a while. Then it started having wacked out electrical problems. I tried all the cures with no luck. I got tired of banging my head on it and then I traded the irritating thing for a working Zaxxon vid. It was a great trade for me as I only had $100 plus some rubber parts and playfield wax in the Hollywood Heat.

Wow. That must have been a bad game if Zaxxon was an improvement.

I was about to second Zaxxon as the game I was most pleased to no longer own.

kickman.... i finally got rid of it after 2.5 years and 3 months later one comes up on craigslist for $25.00 complete working with monitor issues. Damn thing i had to buy it...:(

at least it wasn't the one i sold...

you missed staring at the dude on the side art huh?

Taito S.C.I.

Worked great, looked great, but was not fun.

I think it has had 4 different owners in the last couple years. Just keeps getting passed along.

I just remembered...... Ikari Warriors. Got absolutely zero gameplay from anyone who came over. Could not seem to sell it. I finally bundled it with another game that I sold just to get it out.

I know a fast way to quadruple your money on that . 😜😬

Revolution X. Not really because of gameplay or repair problems, but because the Bastard almost ended my bloodline.

I was moving it off of the truck and into storage on a dolly. That Bastard was easily 50 pounds heavier than any of the other 10-15 games I had unloaded that day. Anyway, I've got it on theodolite when I hit a bump, lost leverage and fell backwards with Rev X tumbling close behind me. I land flat on my back and the dolly was the only thing keeping the machine from crushing me. However, it was a single handle dolly, and that single handle landed approximately an inch and a half away from my testicles.

While I'm grateful I still have my genitals, if that had been a two-handled dolly it probably would have snapped both of my femurs.

And that's why I hate Rev X.

Birdie King - years ago, my (now former) brother-in-law wanted a golf game, but didn't want to spend the money on a Golden Tee. So, I found a $60 Birdie King. Had to put a ton of work into it because everything about it was so crappy & low quality. Was happy to be able to deliver it to him and be done with it.

Except that his brother then wanted one, so I ended up going through it all again with a Birdie King II.

I will never touch another Birdie King - not even to gut one for parts and burn the carcass!

The other game that I was happy to see leave was a dedicated Atari KLAX cabaret. Long story, but that particular game was just plain cursed.

Hollywood Heat is a cheesy 80's pin that is largely uninteresting. It is plagued by the infamous Gottlieb ground problems. I was happy to get about anything in place of it. I didn't even like Zaxxon at the time. I like it now and it even works properly. Nice.
