Something that popped up in the "Overrated games" thread was talk about Pappa The Rappa being something that would work well in a dedicated cabinet. Joking or not, that reminded me of a spike I did a year ago where I wired a gameboy Into a spare Nintendo Vs panel I had to see how well Donkey Kong '94 played with actual arcade controls. Spoiler alert: Surprisingly well. So well in fact that if i ever get around to it I have some ambitions to build another scratch built cab with a custom art package. I know theres some work being done on fully colourizing the ROMs, its a shame the spiritual successor to DK never made it past a DMG cartridge.
Back in the day I also wanted to make a cab for the indie game Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time. Figured it would make a hell of a good arcade experience. That idea never got past the brainstorming phase but it got me wondering what other console or mobile games that would make solid arcade titles?
