A couple of weeks ago I walked into a Tilt arcade in my local mall and saw a deal I couldn't pass on.

I ended up buying a Sega Super GT twin for $495.

They had some nice deals:
Cruising World twin for $995
DDR for $995
Silent Scope for $245
Turkey shoot showcase for $195
Hydro Thunder twin for $495
I can't remember more, but there were some pretty sweet deals.

I've been talking to Austin who is now on a road trip to a Tilt for a GT also.

Anyone else buy any machines from Tilt?

If there is tim e, I'll see what else they have in this store. I will have a half empty thaler on the way home...

they got similar deals down here. I bought a couple UR's a while back but have since sold them.

Years ago I bought some games from Tilt when they had an arcade on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. At the time all the games they had for sale were near mint.

They year I picked up carnevil, silent scope 2, and paradise lost from tilt.

I have picked up games for many arcades(I bought all the games out of 2 arcades). I have bought games from namco over the years. I remember getting a pacmania from them.. I bought games from berkeleys UC arcade. I bought a few games from keystone arcade, I bought a few games from gold mine/aladdins castle, I bought a few games from golfland, I bought a few games from the century theaters, and I bought some from 2 arcades in SF (pier 39 and from the wax museum). All came off their gameroom floors. I assume thats what you are talking about..

I have only been into two Tilt locations. One did not have anything for sale, the other had sky high prices. This was 5 years ago, though.

Kind of weird they remove the coin mechs off the doors before you can take them off the floor. Like really? The mechs can't come with it? Whatevs.

According to their website they are having their annual game sale until
January 4th. Getting rid of the old to make way for the new I suppose.

I could see them closing multiple locations very soon. So much stock has left the one near me that it looks abandoned. Of the 4 double drivers left, only one works 100%. About half the redemption left is broken. Even cosmetically, the ripped and stained carpet, the broken neon signs, and dirty walls just scream run-down and finished.

i had heard a rumor that they were closing the Portland-area Tilt, but i haven't had any confirmation yet.

this year i picked up CarnEvil and Ninja Assault (in a MKII.) i know the owner of Dorky's bought a bunch of stuff including Silent Scope, CarnEvil, and a 2-player Final Furlong. my two cabs are now on location as well; i wonder if Tilt would be more hesitant to sell if they knew some of the games were going back out as "competition."

I bought a Carnevil at the Echelon mall for $195 plus tax. It is in awesome shape except for the replacement .45 guns :(

Silent scope, ninja assault, marvel vs capcom, capcom vs something, and a bunch of redemption crap of what this store had

I bought both my Carnevil and Area 51 from a Tilt in Dallas. I was surprised to see how good of a shape they were in considering they were out of a working arcade. They have some good deals if you catch them at the right time, I woudn't hesistate to buy from them again.

Just got back from my visit to TILT about an hour from me in Santa Clarita, CA. While I was there, some guy came in and was buying everything....At first I thought he was a KLOVr but once I said KLOV he said "huh?" so I knew I was dealing with a non-member. Turned out the guy owns an electronic sales company (he couldn't be more than 25 y/o) and was buying them for his employees. He had no idea what was involved with buying large simulator games or redemption stuff, he just pointed to it and said I'll take it. Must be nice. I think he dropped around $2750 when all was done.

They had two deluxe Fast/Furious simulators....and wanted $14k for both.

I ended up pulling the trigger on a twin Sega Super GT set. Both sides have typical wear but force feedback works great AND both units have newer LCD monitors which look really nice. There was also a Sega Rally 95 but the gameplay just sucked so I passed on those.

As soon as there's room in the garage, these two will be in there for a bit. May end up selling them off sooner though as I'm enjoying garage space once again after a looooooong hiatus.

Here they are...Marquee is in the back seat of the quad cab. Damn I love my truck.

looks like the prices are the same everywhere....anyone see any change/price reduction again since the last one the original poster posted?

thanks!

There is one in the East Towne mall in Madison.

I would go and check it out but the People's Republic of Madison makes me nervous.

If anyone does though me know what they have for sale.

Reeealllyy.....

I can't stand going anywhere neat that city too but since I'm so close I think I might have to make an exception just this once.
I'll let you know what I find when I go, thanks!

I asked if the change machine was for sale at ours and was told no.They said they did this once a year to make room for new games and they were not closing.
