I used to think, I'll never be able to sell any games. This market is terrible. I'll never get my money back, etc. I just realized that in the last 3.5 years I have sold (or traded) the following games and kits:

Sinistar
Cosmic Avenger/Mr. Do
Star Wars
720 (2x)
Toobin
Elevator Action
Turbo Cockpit
Jr Pacman cabaret
Donkey Kong jr
Popeye
Asteroids
Paperboy
Lost Tomb
Tutankham
Bagman
Donkey Kong
Outrun (sitdown)
Outrun (upright)
Ghosts N Goblins
48 in 1 (Jammatized Phoenix Cabinet)
Atari 4 Player Football
Arkanoid Countertop
Marble Madness
Road Runner (kit)
Roadblasters (kit)
Indiana Jones & TTOD (kit)

That's fucking crazy. All that and I still have 30+ machines. WTF? Where do they come from and why do they keep coming?

Dude, my list is long and distinguished....

I'm right there with you Phet...

Star Wars Upright
Star Wars Cockpit
Space Invaders

Asteroids (2)
1000 Mile Rally
Terminator: Judgment Day
Scramble
Pac Man Jr. (multi)
Stargate
Centipede (2)
Donkey Kong
Spy Hunter Pinball
Lightning Pinball

...and maybe 1 or 2 more I am forgetting... plus a few gutted or semi-gutted cabs... and too many PCB's to even remember.

That's amazing! I've noticed for many people, game rooms are always evolving...never staying the same for very long. That said, it's not a big surprise that games will switch out, get sold, traded, etc. over time. Some games we'll just never part with if we can help it, but others may have come from a "good deal" and don't hold as special a place in our hearts as the others.

Either that or we don't have the time to give the "project cabs" the attention they deserve and would rather see them go to someone that will take the time to restore them proper. Either way, it's a fickle hobby for many. But I do like the fact that many on here care enough to point people in the right direction in the realm of fixing, restoring, celebrating finds and deals, etc.

That said, I haven't owned a ton of games so I haven't sold many either, except a Frogger (cocktail) and I will be selling an Arkanoid (ROD) cocktail conversion pretty soon (slated for a buyer already).

So true, the only ones I really miss and regret selling are Sinistar, Star Wars, Asteroids and my Donkey Kong. Otherwise, I really think I had to sell as many as I did to be able to be able to buy more. Half of my projects that I currently have in the gayrage I don't even want or have the room for. I think Space is a huge motivator in this hobby.

I regret selling my original Joust... and my upright Star Wars. The rest... not so much so. Well, actually I regret selling my Asteroids Deluxe but since I got another one I am no so much regretting it any more.

:D
