Pretty cramped quarters for all of the games and the vids are stashed in wierd spots around the funky floorplan. It was pretty noisy in there but it was the last 5 mins of the Wisconsin vs. MSU football game so that would explain some of it. A funky cool place, good chili and some games.

They used to have pins at the original BB in West Hollywood but I think they took them out a while back. They also have vids at the BB in Pasadena but not the location in Westwood.

I'll be watching this thread like a hawk. When I moved here, I had The Reagan Years and Super Bear Arcade to go to. Now, next to nothing. :(

It's been years but JAMES GAMES in Upland CA is still running... and of course there is the Family Fun Center off the 10FWY in Upland/Montclair.

Couple updates of places that have a few games in SoCal.

Town & Country Hotel, San Diego

Small gameroom inside a resturant on the hotel grounds called Charlie's. They had 2 coin op pool tables, Ms. Pacman, Galaga, JAMMA cab running a 9 in 1, 1 slot Neo Geo in a generic cab running Super Sidekicks 2, a Raiden style fighter plan game, and am area 51 style shooter game.

Old Spaghetti Factory, Riverside

Tucked into an alcove near the rest rooms were 4 or 5 games. Crusin USA needing a cap kit and monitor focusing, World Series 99, Neo Geo machine with Puzzle Bobble, and the rest I can't remember.

Capone's Pizza, Riverside

Fast & the Furious 2 machines linked, and a Time Crisis style 2 player shooter.

Romano's Italian Dining & Chicago Pizzeria in Riverside at the Canyon Crest Towne Centre

Asteroids Deluxe
Millipede
Galaga (with 60-in-1)
Mrs. Pac cocktail (with 60-in-1)

They also had 3 redemption style games and a new looking mini-ball or puck shuffle alley that I've never seen before.

Games were nice and clean and in good working order. The Pizzeria/Bar side of this place was just remodeled and it look really nice now. Lots of flat screen tv's to watch sports on too.

While it lacks pinballs it does have a very wide selection of redemption and riding games.
It has an ice cream claw machine..

Over in the Puente hills mall.

Twin pine mall for the fans of back to the future.... Oops, I mean lone pine mall...

One of these just opened up in the Moreno Valley Mall. Yeah, no pins. But I gotta tell ya, walking around that place, I see people having the same kind of fun I used to when I was going to our version of video arcades BITD. I love looking around at all the new technology, the re-imagined Pac-Man, all the touch screen games, the all interactive games from Japan. They also usually have a shmup or two set up on some candy cabs, plus fighters like MvC and SFIVAE. I dunno, gives me hope that we'll see some form of arcades come back.

Such a weird mix for any facility - Karaoke, bowling, ping pong, darts, video games. But I could see spending all my time there with friends if I was looking for a way to kill afternoons and weekends.

Why is the URL in the OP censored?

Anyway, James Games is still running strong from what I hear....

Wow, really, in the MoVal Mall??? That place was almost completely empty the last time I was in there about 3 years ago. I'll have to go check out Round1 there, sounds cool. Maybe it will help bring that shopping mall back to life?

No clue why that happened, here is the link to Barney's:

I was at the Santa Monica location.

There's a list of pinball games operated at central coast locations here:

There will be a new Santa Maria location opening up soon.

I heard your Op buddy had to close down the Pismo Beach location? That sucks, is the Santa Maria location going to replace the one in Pismo?

Yea, hopefully the new location will fully replace the old one.

The Pismo location is owned by someone back east who might have never set foot in it I believe. It was a really cool space and had a ton of great pins and vids.

Cool to know, I am glad they are expanding. It always nice to see new arcade places opening up.
