Games in operation or games abandoned... Am I the only one?

Am I the only one that finds abandoned games in weird places really interesting?

I've seen some videos from abandoned motels, college dorms, even a Japanese arcade hotel!

I like looking at peoples games rooms just as much as the next guy but these abandoned places and seeing an arcade cab outdoors is kinda boggling!

Just me?

I explore a bunch (well, trespass) inside large shuttered institutions for fun and recreation with some like-minded individuals. Seen everything from old mechanical games to more recent fighting titles, sometimes even semi-rare stuff, but they are either far beyond restoration -- having been vandalized for fun by other "explorers" or showing serious water damage -- or the logistics of getting them out is too laborious and risks you getting caught and cited for B&E. I did once find a huge box of new F15T8 lamps, haven't had to buy a tube since!

Here's a couple machines sitting in Forest Haven, MD if anyone wants them!

I love seeing that kind of stuff

I think I like seeing old arcade cabinets more than anything (although it sucks they usually can't be saved). Theres just something incredibly creepy about seeing a lone cabinet or two just sitting in an abandoned building.

I'm not going to lie about it..... if I were somewhere like that, and saw one that was even partially salvageable......... I'd find a way to get it with the least amount of risk.

I also wouldn't say a damned thing about where it came from..... having learned from a certain incident already mentioned in this thread.
