I would like more, but I really only have space for 4 uprights. I might get a couple of cocktails that could sit where my end tables are. So I've had several games that I don't have any more, but I have kept certain ones for certain reasons. Here they are (prepend each reason with "It's a GREAT game, and.."

Pac-Man - my all time fav game. Would take it to the kill screen when I was a kid. I just love this game.
It just has so much character for the simplicity and it's the one that started it all for me in 1980.

Defender - the complex controls layout. I had to have a dedicated Defender and not rely on MAME.

Gorf - the cool joystick and the pinball-style rank lights. And I like the "5 in 1" factor. Oh and the
overall lighting of the game with the lower marquee and the backlit overhang.

Robotron - another of my favs where I just had to have the real one with the authentic rugged joysticks.

What are your games and why do you love each one?

I've restored three of the four you mentioned.

Can't get over that Gorf that Spyridon restored. I mean they all look great but the pic of that Gorf is just amazing. A true thing of beauty!

wanted

i want to collect all the atari asteroids, so i am currently working on asteroids deluxe and blasteroids. i have a laundry list i want but i ran out of room. i currently have a tempest with all the versions and the breakout mode in my garage in "8" condition and it is killing me not being able to have it with the others. that gorf is awesome, that is on top of my list.
my current list of wanted: joust, sinistar, gorf, tron, discs of tron, omega race, spy hunter, crystal castles, root beer tapper so on and so on.

Ah yes the Asteroids family would be great to have! Oh and I forgot to mention another thing about Gorf I love - the stereo sound! Well, just the sound scheme in general - great classic and signature sounds on each of the 5 phases, and of course the taunting Gorfian robot speech. Just awesome!
