Games for trade - update 1

Well, it has taken me quite a long time to get my stuff dug out. In the past I was trying to trade some things but due to work and family issues was never able to get anything worked out on my end. Finally things are looking up and I've had some time to get about half my games out and take some pictures.

Due to the nature of how life can suprise you I'm cutting way back on my arcade collection. My new goal is just to get the few games I actually really enjoy and want for myself. No more games because friends remember playing them and thinking they were cool, or stuff that just looks nice and collects dust. Just stuff for me. Crazy idea.

Frist off I'm located in Owensboro, Ky 42301. I can borrow a truck that belongs to my Father for some trips but mostly don't like to drive if I can help it. I don't know much about shipping cabinets either I am afraid. Also, if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. I've some pictures taken of some items and will add more photos when I get more stuff out of storage.

I am looking for the following items and maybe other things I don't realize I want so feel free to make offers. A nice looking Pac Man, A nice looking Centipede, maybe some kind of pinball but I am not sure what, and if possible a working Dragon's lair. Last I need a vga monitor for a naomi universal cab. A working 4 slot neo geo board.

Here are some pictures. some not so good but I'm not much of a camera guy.

Crystal Castles - New trackball, lit start/jump buttons, new molding. I added some wheels to the bottom. Works and plays great. Monitor is in pretty good condition. Where it was sitting I did not want to move it but the other side is about the same with only minor damage like the one pictured. Over all it is a really good condition machine for home use I think. Could be given some more love but as it is, will be fine for playing with.

Will Continue in next post.

Battlezone - Another cool game that does not get much play. Monitor is great. The other side looks about like this one with the usual minor damage. No rubber mat on the step up. Game plays great, needs to be cleaned up. Could not get a good picture of the screen though. I think the flourescent lights are going bad or the little starters as the marquee did not light and the inside light was flickering after starting the machine back up.

Will keep adding more.

Galaxian - I actually like that one better than Galaga, I guess I am the only one who does though. Anyhow The monitor is great in this game, really a nice one this time. no locks on the door or back, The joy stick sticks a bit when moving left. and the wire is off of one coin switch. Other than that I don't know too much about it. It just collects dust for the most part.

Time Pilot - Comes with free collectable time pilot burn on on the monitor. Gets a fair picture, joy stick feels a bit sticky. Leg levelers not so good. Cab looks like in the picture, so only about fair condition. Though the marquee is more crappy than the picture shows. Other than that I still a fun game but I don't really play it either.

Star Wars - Well... what can I say. I loved it as a kid. Not so much anymore. I bought it as a bit of an impulse and payed a bit too much. I guess because back then when it was in the arcades it was about the only way to have any kind of star wars type experience. I've blown up that death star so many times I just don't much feel like doing it again.

Anyhow, The big issue here is when it was moved the speech quit working. It was tested working and then shipped to me, but I had no speech. I peeked in the back but did not see anything that looked unconnected and thats all I've ever really done to it. The cab has some damage on the sides, worse at the bottoms as usual. The monitor looks really nice I think. The colors are sharp and bright. Controls respond well I also think. Over all it is a good game and in good condition for home use.

I've still got more machines and parts to dig out, There should be about 3 dynamo style cabs, some cps2 stuff and other game pcbs. And a working Pengo machine. As soon as I can get them dug out I'll have pictures as well.

That Galaxian is awesome ! Your not the only one that likes it better than Galaga . If you were closer I'd get it from you .

I would like to add a few more things found.

There are no speakers and no game board in that cab. The board was there to show the monitor worked, though not super good. Thc cp is ugly as shown, but the wood is pretty solid on the old six slot cab. Also, I am pretty sure the el's are not good. But card reader, credit led's, power supply an all should be good.

So about this one. It is in storage out in the garage. This picture is a bit older but it looks to have not changed from then only a bit more dusty and now comes with spiders.

Anyhow this one is free to a good home, pick up only.

I'm still going through stuff so keep looking. I found some nintendo parts that I'll list once sorted out and have a neo candy cab to get some pictures of as well as a few more cabs.

Here is one of the nicest original Neo-Geo four slot cabinets I have ever personally seen. I'm the second owner of this cabinet. It came from an arcade that shut down and the owner kept the cab in home after that. It has the usual wear on the cp, and one place on the front where security bolt was put. Also near the bottom on one side is a place in the black but it is not bad at all. As for neo geo cabs go this has to be at least an 8 out of 10. The monitor is new. Now I say new as I bought it like 2 years back but only have about a few days woth of play on it as I had to pull the main board out of this cab. I sold another neo geo cab and the fellow who got it, his board died so I replaced it with with the one from this cabinet. It has sat unused ever after. Also all the buttons and sticks were bought new for this cabinet. All of the EL pannels work, credit boards and card reader has been tested working. I kind of hate to let this one go but I need the space and want to complete my collection of games I'll actually play.

Now a few more things.

This fellow here is opitional. If I get a decent offer then I'll be happy to let it go. As it stands it needs a bit of work. I had been wanting to fix it but can not find a replacment monitor for it.

arcade008.jpg

Aside from some cosmetic damage and needing to be cleaned, the monitor is ruined and the black plastic cover on the back of the machine where the monitor goes is broken. It is still solid but where it screws on, those little tabs are broken. I believe that would be a fairly easy fix though with either some washers or a bit of construction adhesive. Anyhow that is nothing I was worried about fixing. I've had it up and running with a computer monitor hooked up and it played. But beyond that I've done nothing to it other than move it around. Also it is very heavy and has to be taken apart to get through my door. It is a major pain to move as the little wheels on the bottom are not there and this is not a cabinet that does well on a furniture mover.

Then there is this little guy.

neomini.jpg

A neo 19 . The monitor is dead. Actually it is not in the cab in this picture. I may have buttons, the sticks are in good shape. There is no game board. Once again I'm out of mvs boards that work. I've a stack of them that have problems but none working. The powersupply and such all work in it, but the cable from the harness to the monitor had been cut when I got it. I guess it could be fixed. My plans were to strip it out and rebuild it with new wires and such but I don't really have the time for this anymore. I just want some nice games I don't really have to work on these days.

Well, I have to move stuff out to get at stuff burried deeper. So once I take pictures of it, then I have to move it and it gets a little bet burried again, but not so bad. If anyone needs photos of things that are already shown from different positions or closer, just let me know and I will try and get that taken care of.

So in this next set of things I've gotten pulled out we have some assorted junk and another cabinet.

This dynamo cab had xmen vs street fighter in it. The monitor works, though the color seems maybe a bit off. However I am also color blind to red brown green a bit so it may just be me. I owned it years back, sold it to an arcade and then they traded it back to me in a lot of stuff when they went out of business. I've not done much to it after getting it other than turn it on and see that it still works. I have the parts that are missing, like the wood around the monitor and glass. Not the sticks or buttons though. I also have the cps2 boards and game marquee for xmen cota that was in it. The cab is filthy as seen but the wood is very good and soild. This would be an easy clean up restore into a fighting or mame game. Also the powersupply sounds like a jet.

ssstuff007.jpg

This is a cp for a four slot mvs cab. I don't know if the one credit led or card reader works. I never tested it.

ssstuff001.jpg

this fellow is the cp from a wide vs cab. At one time I thought these were rare. To best of my knowledge all the buttons work. The one red one that looks squashed is just not screwed in all the way. The sticks are pretty decent too. I bought this a good while back and did not realize it was too big for the cabinet so it's been collecting dust.

morestuff006.jpg

Black tiget pcb. It works. It's not a lot of fun but it works.

ssstuff006.jpg

Banged up nintendo coin door with attatched junk.

morestuff005.jpg

Well, now lookie here. 2 six slot mvs boards, both with sound problems I believe. And one four slot board with.. some problem, maybe sound maybe work ram or some such. I don't remember it's been in the closet for a long time. Also that is a xynophobe coin door.

morestuff001.jpg

The coin box thing out of a nintendo cab.

I wish I could put in more pictures in each post.

Hello,

My name is Anthony. I live in Lexington, Kentucky. I am interested in the Neo Geo 19. How much money would you let that go for. I PM you. Just let me know, I can pick it up tomorrow Sunday 2/21 with cash in hand.

As long as the monitor is complete (i.e. tube, frame, chassis, remote board, wiring-even if cut)
Not worried about the joysticks, push buttons.

So wanna know where that black tiger pcb came from?

That was going to be turned into something for someone but things changed so there it sits. Maybe someone can use it.

Also found this gem.. or turd.

That was on a dig dug or centipede that was converted into a multi jamma. It ended up in my posission some how. I think those are the buttons that you can ligit up with leds.

sxstuff004.jpg

nintendo cp its okay I guess for what is there.

Now this is one of my most prized items. I really kind of hate to part with it but, honestly I know that I will never get around to finishing the project.

What it is, A custom built for me Jamma Nintendo Nes made by a great guy over at Neo-geo.com.

Yeah, with volume, color adjustments, switches for cp joysticks or control pads, extension cords, power switch, reset button.

Good stuff

sxstuff001.jpg
That is hooked up to the dynamo cab a few posts up so you can see the monitor there.

sxstuff002.jpg

here is the item. I forgot what that other knob does.. humm....

When the guy backed out on a nintendo multi game cab, I was going to put this into that nintendo cabinet but will never get around to it.

Yet another dynamo.
However the monitor is not included in this one. It is for another cab and just in there for testing.

Inside seen are Darkstalkers and Xmen cota. They are both up for grabs, either with cabs or alone as It does not matter to me too much. This stuff needs to go.

As much as I love arcades, no amount of machines in my home are every really going to give that feeling that is long gone from the days of arcades. So I'll be happy with a few I like.

On a side note, I'll be happy to hear trades for pretty much anything arcade related thanks.

Will this ever end.

No but really, I don't even remember having some of this stuff.

Capcom q-sound amp and transformer. I don't know it's condition I never used it. was going to use it with an 18 in 1 board but never got around to setting up the cab..

Better nintendo coin door

I think one of the nintendo monitors works actually, not great looking. One of those 19 inch guys works too. came out of my cc machine but has awful burn in and is really faded. The others I doubt. there is a bit 27/29 in the corner. I believe it is a selti. I never got it to do anything but come up with a blue screen.

Good condition Pengo cab. Rather good art and such with expected minor damage and such. The monitor sucks though and is very faded with pac man burn in. Not so hot there.. but the board is really nice and fully working. No back door on the cabinet though.

As It stands now.

Crystal castles, battle zone, starwars, neo-19. have all been spoken for.
Cps2 boards cota, darkstalkers - have been paid for.
Cps2 q sound amp has been spoken for.
Nintendo cabinet on hold, nintindo parts spoken for as well.

Monitor in mvs six slot pending pick up.

More to come as it gets found.
