I know what that's like. I have 12 games in a 2-bedroom apartment (all in one bedroom). I bought an 8-ft pool table a while back because I'm serious about pool (and very good, btw) and the price was too good to pass up, but I'm also paying about $75/mo for a storage unit to keep it in until I have a house. I got lucky and was able to make small payments over time to get it. If I would've had to come up with all the money at once, I wouldn't have it now.

Y'all are still young, though, and will someday get to a point where you can afford stuff like this on a whim (I'm still waiting to get there, myself). Why not draw him a nice portrait of one and let him hang it above his computer so he can look up an drool every once in a while?

Matt might want to get your offer to buy it yourself someday notarized. I'll bet y'all have the same conversation about this as my wife and I do when I get a chance to get something cheap/free. "Where are we going to put it?"

I'll make some T-MEK cab measurements for you, but it would need major support to not crush the shit out of the seat section! That wood is so weak at the tips that someone leaning on it could practically break it, let alone the entire weight (probably 150-200lbs) sitting on the edge... All I can do is laugh at your guys ambitions... Good luck, you'll need it!

WTF is up with this Ratchick person deleting all her posts and ending with "I will not be posting here anymore"? 99% of time time I subscribe to the "if you post it, leave it and add an "EDIT" comment" way of doing things...she confuses me with all her DELETED friggin' posts. RATCHICK WTF? I guess you won't be answering as you won't be posting here anymore?!?

Anyone care to enlighten me as to why this person has decided to delete all her posts?

I agree. While it might be possible to transport it like that, I wouldn't trust it at all... Chances are the seat section would be damaged in some way. If it comes down to transporting the seat section upside-side down and renting a trailer of some sort, I'd recommend the trailer because I don't believe you've be able to go with the first option and wind up with the unit in the same condition it was beforehand. Pricier, but far safer.

And ratchick, what's going on? Since all your posts are deleted, it's really unclear what the issue is, but I'm betting the majority of the people here would rather not just see you go.

Fiskbit, you hit the nail on the head... its lunacy to try to transport it upside down!!! I've done some crazy things, but I wouldn't even attempt to move the game that way. WAY TOO TOP HEAVY UPSIDE DOWN! It will crush the cabinet, thats an extremely weak spot on the cab... Hmm... both people with these cabs say its a dumb idea... dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb!

On Thursday, when I had a bunch of people over and some helping to move the T-MEK into my garage, the girl which I've been seeing lately was over hanging out. When we finally did get the monster around the house and into the garage, she stated "I bet he doesn't buy another one that big"

Both game parts are about 3x5 give are take here and there.I would not think about turning any part of it upside down. I stood the seat part on its when i moved it. I still had hell getting it with my other game into the trailor.I would think upside down would cause alot or stress on the seat part ubless you braced it up to help support it during the drive.Just my 2 bits
 
well, it looks like the t-Mek part of our conversation is on hold for now....
