Well I finally got around to pulling the Gyruss cabinet out of the storage unit. Had to exchange it with the Warlords cabinet as I'm completely out of garage space. Need to collect parts for Warlords anyways.
I purchased this from 'Games people Play' a couple months back and it went directly to storage. The cord had the receptacle ripped off. I spent like 150 bucks on buying it non-working.
So the first thing I did was to trim the wires and install a new receptacle. Stood by the power button and crossed fingers on power up. Not expecting anything to work, just no fires or smoke or frying pcb's.
I looked everything over pretty good. Plugged in, powered on and heard the monitor static power up from behind. Still kept a watch on back, then I was stunned to hear Bach's Tocotta and Fugue. I was like what? I looked up front to find the monitor up and running and the game playing.
Wow. Never bought a game as non-working and it came right up. As I worked on a few things (the left speaker wasn't working) and cleaned I'm sure my entire neighborhood got it's earfull of disco-Bach.
