Cabinets/projects for sale Dallas area .vectors included
This is a repost of one I made a while back with some updated prices and games. I STILL have way too many projects that I will never touch in the next 10 years. Somebody here wants these. I'm pricing them for what I consider cheap. I will deal a little bit IF you buy 5 or more cabinets. If you bring a big truck, we can probably make a better deal. If you think my pricing is out of line, let me know via e-mail and tell me why. Yes, I know the economy is in the toilet so here is my solution to stimulate the economy. Prices are likely to go much HIGHER in the next month or so as I get despondent over the winnowing down of my collection and also have to fork over more bucks for my storage units. Most of these are for sale at what I paid for them or less. If I paid too much for them, you don't need to tell me. Just make a REASONABLE offer and we'll go from there. I hate to say it but these will probably succumb to the sledge if I don't get any takers and parts will be offered on the bay. I hate to do it but storing them is eating up any value in them and superauctions is a rip. I'm already taking it in the shorts. Don't bother looking at my old post. I cut and pasted it and lowered the prices on stuff. Nothing went higher. ALL offers are to be made via email to my address at:

[email protected]

PM's don't do it for me. I can work better with e-mail and keep track of things easier. I'm out of country a lot so this works best for us.

NOTE: Cheap delivery available to Houston area and parts in between this weekend only. Perhaps again later this month. email for details and I'll hook you up with driver for quote.

So rules are these:

1. Email only
2. Payment in full with cash on pickup or paypal
3. No crating or strapping as I already wasted my time doing it on 2 games that fell thru. If you want it done, I've got the materials but it is hot here in Texas and I don't think you'll enjoy doing it.
4. If you say you want it and we agree to a price, I expect you to honor it.
5. I'll make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. if I screwed up, I'll make it right. If your shipper screws up, you need to work it out with him.
6. Photos of the games are here but not sorted in any order. I'm short on time so if you don't mind wading thru the lot, you'll probably find it.
7. Prices are good till October 12th. Games left after then incur a storage fee to be determined. Probably around $10 each per month.
8. You shouldn't need references on me. Just google around. I'm one of the good guys.

Bump for a good guy. Come on people, I can't buy it all!

Pat was hoarding all that when I had room. :( I have bought two games and a pin recently and would rather had some of those. Doesn't help me or him now. Oh well. I want the BZ, Dig-Dug and a Star Castle. Oh well...

I guess I need to see if I can get the spare Baby Pac-man going so I can sell it. Both boards were tested outside the game, so odds are on my side. That will give me some room.

Ummmm, all of this has been for sale for a long time. I posted back in July and January as well. Not sure how I'm "hoarding" it. Some of these I purchased over the past 6 - 12 months or took as payment for some other items I sold/traded. I have no love affair for Dig Dug, BZ or Star Castle for that matter. The BZ has been listed for forever. The only thing I could be accused of "hoarding" are the Star Wars machines. 1 of my buyers acquired one for a lot less than I could sell it to him for so that gives me a "spare". That particular cabinet is a corn flake cabinet and I wouldn't in good conscience sell it to anyone. The buyers are more than willing to wait. 2 of them don't have the funds right now anyway so it really doesn't matter to me. The Gravitar and Black Widow are mine and have been for the last 4 years. I'm still not sure I want to sell them. You sure won't pay me what I paid for them. I reluctantly let a minty Space Duel go from my collection and I am regretting every minute of it.

I sure would like to know what games I wouldn't sell/trade to you besides those 2 and the Star Wars'. I've sold about 2 box trucks worth of games in the last 2 years and purchased just as many. Haven't bought a single item at the last 2 Superauctions with the exception of a Coke so anything that was there was yours for the grabbing. If you have a beef with the way I collect items, why not tell me instead of crying to the group? It is called "collecting" for a reason. I had intentions of having a nice game room with my vectors lined up but time and financial constraints, mostly time as most of you are aware, has kept me from doing anything. I'm offering these items to the group for far less than most of them were purchased for 1-2 years ago. I'm also guilty of auction frenzy and purchased something I didn't want because I thought it was cool or I could flip it. Yes greed does factor into the equation but I think I've lost more money than I 've made on games. I'm not sure where your beef is. If you don't want to purchase anything from me fine, but don't start slinging mud.

I have no problem keeping this stuff till it rots and I take it to the dump. I would just rather somebody enjoy them than let them sit around. I have finally surrendered to the fact that I can't fix them all. BTW, in case you haven't noticed the auctions are drying up and these items are hard to find. I'm getting 3 more cabinets this month from a collector who has had them for a very long time. They are painted conversions but they are so rare that I can't in good conscience let these go to the dump or succumb to a sledge. I'll find a way to store these until somebody wants them. Storing them costs money so I'd like a little something for my time. The talk of parting out cabinets is due to the fact that many of these require more money to make whole or correct than they are currently worth. However, if you don't mind a painted Asteroids Deluxe, you're going to get a heck of a deal on one. If you're starting out in the hobby, this is a great way to cut your teeth. But....when I pay over $100 to store a cabinet that is worth $25, there comes a point where it is time to cut my losses.

Some day when I get some more time, I'll be able to dedicate myself to fixing these. I'll start with my stuff instead of all the stuff I fix for other people first.

Give me a call if there is something you want. I'm sorry I can't give it away. I have to pay the bills I got when I purchased this stuff.

For what it's worth I don't think he meant "hoarding" in a bad way.

For what it's worth I don't think he meant "hoarding" in a bad way.

So very true... Vectors don't come up for sale much around here and having such an efficient vector collector nearby is challenging, but I don't really fault him in any way. I like Pat and have bought a few things from him including my Asteroids Deluxe. He always seems willing to deal. Maybe I should have used the  when I said it. Honestly though, I didn't know he had so many duplicates of the other vectors or would have been over there cutting a deal as soon as I found out. The ones I always saw were in the garage which was always the off-limits star wars games or some new score like his Space War.

I have been drooling over every Star Castle discussed on here and two BZ minis that came up for sale/trade. What probably happened is he listed them while I was away from the forum on a regular basis and I just missed the ads.

I'm just bummed that I can't go relieve you of some of those games is all. :(

Maybe I can still make some room before they are all gone. Would love to to have that BZ. Maybe I could stash it in my closet so the wife doesn't know. Hmmm.....

Pat,

Didn't mean it in a bad way at all. Prices aren't the problem either. Would have just called you up to come have a look and workout a deal. Me not having space is the problem right now. I could fit more, but the wife doesn't see it that way. I just went to Wichita Falls and picked up that nice looking Space Duel from RacerX. It is a duplicate machine, but just couldn't pass it up since I wasn't seeing anything else coming along. That was just last weekend. So you can imagine how f'ing bummed I am with the Star Castles and BZ laughing at me now.

Hopefully I can make some more room here and get the wife's ok to come get some stuff from you. Sorry I didn't consider how my comment would come across. Last thing I want to do is piss you off. You always have something I want to buy. ;)

Anyway, good luck with the sale. Hopefully some of it will be to me.

No, I sold that about 6 months ago. I know where a cockpit is in Rockwall.

Pat

That was a little before I bought the Bubbles. While I would love a cockpit Sinistar I don't know where I would put it. I think it is about the coolest looking cockpit made (my opinion, let's not hijack the thread with a cockpit flame war). If it was $100 or less & I could get Noel to deliver it for $100 or less, I'd probably take it, even if it just stayed out in the garage. I really need an upright though... sigh...:(

Yeah, sorry guys. I might have taken Junkie's response incorrectly. I've been rassling with a Tempest on and off for the past 8 months and it doesn't even belong to me. I need to get this one stable and not mess with it any more so that I can get to my own stuff. I guess I might have been a little tired and frustrated and needed to vent.

I passed on the SD of Racerx's even though it was a great price. I've got 3 already and thought I'd leave that for somebody else. Heck of a deal if you ask me. BTW I've got about 2 dozen boards for that game and one or two of them is bound to work if you need one.

The BZ mini I have serious thought about keeping because it is so small and doesn't ake up the space that the upright does. It is definitely a project. I passed on 3 BZ uprights including the "rare" frontless one at the Dallas Superauctions over the past year or so. I'm still looking. I've had 3 in the past but sold them all. If I could get the wife to agree to give me the living room that NOBODY ever goes into, I'd be set. She'll be back in about aweek and we will talk then.

BTW, the youth minister at my church informed me that they no longer desire the use of my arcades so I'm going to pull the 4 cabinets out and have to store them. Seems like when it rains it pours.

Peace out all.

No problems Pat. Again sorry about not indicating I was being a smart ass. Thanks for the offer of space duel boards. This one is playing blind so I think the board is ok. The LV section is fried (surprise) and the harness connector is a little loose. All in all it looks pretty good. It has seen a little moisture, but looks really good still. It is all original and is a lower serial number than my other one. It has a couple differences on the monitor shelf but is pretty similar. Best part was the tube has hardly any burn. That is pretty odd for a space duel. Must have been pulled off route in '83 (last tax sticker).

Anyway, I want to put this at my work. I just need to see if the wife goes for me getting another one when this one leaves.

Again, good luck on the sales! Another bump for the man.
