So after a long fought battle I've finally been cleared to use our bonus room as a game room. I had some space in our basement (read: basement corner) for awhile and also some space in a converted attached garage but dedicated space was a non-starter. I'm pretty stoked. Right now I only have two pins. Have sold or traded off everything else I've had, but I'm looking forward to filling the space, however small. The room is about 12x14, so by no means large. So, if you had that space, what would you put in it? I have 2 Gottliebs, Hulk and Amazing Spider Man, both in great shape but I'm not super-attached to either one. My only must-have is a Star Wars upright. What games would you throw in a room like that? I figure 1 pin and 5-6 vids.

I love the Pacs, so an upright or cabaret pacman with one of those multi-pac kits.

A neo geo with those fatty multi carts. If you get a single slot that is a jamma machine right, that might be handy.

I think that provides alot of bang for the space.

In a small space with room for 6 vids I would definitely try to get a Pac with a multi-kit, a Neo Geo (probably with one of them multicarts), a 2 player mame cabinet, a Jrok multiwilliams, something with a steering wheel and that Star Wars that you wanted.

Although a 12 x 14 room should hold 14 games with no problems at all, 7 on each long wall (might have to get a mini cab to balance out a pin). You can certainly do better than 7 games total. The door may get in the way, but at the same time you could probably squeeze in a mini or two on the odd walls.

Adding suggestions since the room holds more than first suggested.

Grab a couple of later model games that are being unloaded in huge number right now and can be had for cheap. Get a light gun game (Area 51), a Golden Tee (2005ish) and maybe a newer sit down driver (Crazy Taxi).

Thanks for the replies. I'm limited to the number of games I mentioned due to one wall effectively being a closet. I've contemplated removing the doors and filling the closet with two games (would be sort of cool, blacklit, something like that) but I don't know that we can afford to lose the closet space. So far I'm thinking:

Star Wars
Multi-Pac
Playchoice 10
Asteroids Deluxe (I prefer it over Asteroids)
Tempest
Q*Bert
1 pin - dunno what yet, will probably be a rotating title until Williams Indiana Jones ends up in there.

Just a suggestion but if you're interested in maximizing the space that you now have, you might consider spending a few minutes on Google Sketch (which is free) and drawing a layout of the room for us.

I am sure a lot of people could offer better suggestions if they had an idea of what you're working with beyond just the size. Ie. showing doors, windows, closets, etc.

Smart. I'll see if I can do that.
