The sub-floor went in yesterday. The ceiling grid will continue today. All the finished flooring has been ordered and it being shipped in the next week or so.
Here are a few more pics:
1) Craftroom without sub-floor
2) Craftroom with sub-floor
3) Top of stairs looking down
4) Middle of stairs looking at the bottom. Craftroom straight ahead with gameroom off to the right
5) Drop ceiling grid
Holy shit you don't mess around...awesome progress.
One question...why did you use Batt insulation? When I finished my basement in our old house (completely by myself) the research I did (buildingscience.com) said Batt in the basement was a no-no because of moisture and mold.
Probably my best investment was the water backup sump pump. Was less than $100 and requires no electricity to operate. Should the sump fail for any reason (including power)...it uses water pressure to siphon out standing water in the sump. It never got activated but..it worked great when we tested it
Again, not sure od the setup Zud has. These are great if you're on public water, but they do not work if you have a well system. I looked into these too, and think they are a great idea, but with our house, if the power fails, so does the well pump

I used 1.5" foam board and glue it to the wall...then framed about a half inch away from it. The foam board acted as the vapor barrier and insulation all in one keeping the 'cold' concrete basement wall from touch any warm air and creating condensation
Of course things could have change in the last couple years and I never did anything like this in the past

Can't wait to see the finished product!
