Gameroom Project - Part 1

Zud, why do you have a change machine? Are you simply trying to have an authentic arcade?

I have a change machine too. Dispenses tokens. I modded all my mechs for tokens. I feel it gives my visitors a much better arcade experience than machines on free play.

I guess I didn't understand the importance of a change machine. I simply open the coin door and flick the coin switch a few times and play. It only takes about 10 seconds to rack up numerous credits. That way I don't have to mess with any $$.

It is amazing how much arcade stuff one collects over the years. I have starting clearing out the basement and have made a small dent. Seems like I will never finish and when I do, where will I put the stuff when I complete the basement. Look for a fire sale this summer by me. :p

Updates:
1) I have decided to go with the drop ceiling, boy are those tiles expensive.
2) Upgraded electric may be out (ComEd wants $900+ to disconnect and reconnect)
3) Completion is scheduled for beginning of August. Just in time for Labor Day Party

Why pay comed? Just have an electrical contractor do it, half the cost. If you need a number I can give you the guy that wired up my basement during the construction.

I painted the exposed ceiling in my basement black and it came out excellent. Any yes, many bars and resturaunts do the same thing.

Remind me if I ever decide to do this again, don't!

My basement is almost empty. Just have pachinko games, monitors, 7 uprights, exercise equipment and a few odds and ends. At least I will finish by next weekend in time for construction to start on the 23rd.

Here are a few pics of my 3rd storage unit:
