Hi Everyone,

As most of you know, I run a website and co-host a podcast called Gameroom Junkies. The show is geared toward collectors of arcade and pinball games, and the website is the same way-focusing on things found in the gameroom. One thing that I really wanted the website to do when I created it was to capture and document some of the great gamerooms out there. I know we have some forum posts out there that have tons of entries and photos in them, but it is somewhat hefty to wade through and not easy to find at times. What I wanted to do was to really do a top-notch job of writing a "feature article" for each gameroom that talks about the owner, their inspiration, and their setup with the article full of pictures to really give each gameroom a chance to be in the limelight. However, it seems that people have stopped submitting their gamerooms to be showcased.

Therefore, I need your help. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE send in stories and photos so I can properly showcase your hard work for all to see. I used to give shirts away to those featured on the site, but I ran out of those. This time, instead of a shirt, I'll give away one of my minimalist arcade posters to those folks featured on the website. Additionally, at the end of the year, I hold a contest for "Gameroom of the Year" where gamerooms that have already been featured are eligible to be voted on for the title. I give away prize packs and certificates to the 1st-3rd winners.

Lastly, if you're already a podcast listener, we're looking for feedback. If you've listened to the show, could you please take a small moment of your time to fill out a short 10-question survey so we can make our show better?

Thanks again for all your support. This is a total labor of love that I do to give back to the hobby that I enjoy so much.

I enjoy your podcast. I have listen to comedy podcasts (Never not funny, comedy and everything else, Doug loves movies, etc.) for years and enjoy the way they are laid out. I have no negative feedback for you friend. Keep up the great work. I would research sponsorships and maybe if time permits in your personal life, maybe more frequency in podcasts. Not to much that burns out the listeners but maybe every other week??? I hope to find time to sit down and submit some stories/content for your podcast or site. Again kudos on your podcast.

Only two have stepped up to the plate so far. Keep 'em coming, guys. I'd like to be able to feature at least one per week.

Thanks to those of you who have already filled out the survey. It is very helpful!

How good do the game rooms have to be? Is it amazing rooms only, or unique ones too even if they are not super high quality like some of the ones on your site?

X2 I would like to know what would qualify also. For instance,my gameroom is fully functional but unfinished with no carpeting or drywall. It goes almost unnoticed when everything is on and running.

I really want a good representation of gamerooms. I'd get bored really quickly at looking at tons of gamerooms with 25+ games as that isn't a true representation of most collectors. Mostly looking for unique ideas, decorations, collectibles, themes, etc. The number of games isn't too much of a factor - just look at "Elbow Room" or "Barry's Arcade", they have a handful of games, but a really cool space. I also like variety. there's one room we've done (I forget the name) that doesn't "look" all that cool, but they have a little bit of everything, skeeball, signage, etc.

The only people I would dissuade from submitting their gamerooms is people that only have two games in their garage with no decorations or anything. Since we're gameROOM junkies there needs to be a good overall feel to the space or some unique hook.

I submitted my gameroom...did it go through? Thanks for the retweet on twitter (twitter handle - JoeBrewerrr)

I just watched the video featuring your Ms. Pac cabaret...congrats man!

Did the survey - wish my "game room" was more up to snuff or I'd submit it. Right now it's just a line of machines in my messy garage. Talk to me in a few years and hopefully I'll have given the games a proper home. :)

My Game room is a shambles after rearranging every thing. I will try and get something to submit together, but it is just a concrete walled and floored basement...

Preston, can I resubmit my gameroom even though I participated last year? I've been working on some huge changes and it's quite different; although I am not finished with it yet....

I'm close to being ready to submit mine. Just need to get the upstairs painted and perhaps a couple of signs I'd like to make and it'll be submission time. My game room has come a long way from what it started out as.

One of these days I'll get around to submitting mine. I've always focused more on having a wide range of activities than to have a real fancy game room, so it's kinda boring to look at.

I'll submit mine as soon as I get a little more "done" with it. We just bought our home in September, so there is still work to do.

+1 new listener! This thread is how I found out about it. I'll do the survey once I've had a chance to really get a feel for the podcast.
