The short version:
www.gameroomjunkies.com is live. Go check it out or listen to us on itunes.
The long version:
So, about six months ago I got a new job that requires me to commute just over an hour each way. With a broken CD player in my car, I quickly grew tired of radio - so I started downloading podcasts off of itunes. Did you know there aren't very many arcade game podcasts out there? I mean, there are a few pinball collector podcasts out there but the two big ones are having a dry spell, and the arcade game ones were (in my opinion) somewhat console heavy. Before I knew it, I had listened to almost every arcade/pinball podcast out there. Therefore, instead of bitching and moaning for someone to put out another podcast, I thought I should make one. So I did.
My friend Patrick and are hope the podcast is relatable to any collector/enthusiast big or small. Basically, it's just two dudes talking shop about collecting. We have two episodes out now with a third being recorded shortly. Starting with episode 3 we hope to have at least one collector interview each episode that would be with an "ordinary" collector to find out how they got their collecting start, what they have in their gameroom, and anything they've done to their gameroom to make it unique.
So, a podcast was the original intention, but then a bomb dropped - NO MORE GAMEROOM MAGAZINE!! I was heartbroken. I don't think there can ever be a true replacement. However, the groundwork was already in place for us to pickup some of the slack. I have already taken two collector's gamerooms that were mentioned here on KLOV, did a brief write-up and added them to the website. I realized that with gameroom magazine gone, it is important to keep the tradition of documenting kick-ass gamerooms alive.
I realize that not everyone can have a Luna City, so this podcast and website will hopefully speak to everyone that is interested in having a gameroom, from one cabinet to 100. So do me a favor, check out the site, give us a listen, and let me know what you think. If you'd like to have your gameroom featured on the site, send us an email and I'll ask you a few questions to feed a story I can write up. If you're interested in being interviewed, let us know that too.
Anyway, check us out: www.gameroomjunkies.com . if you're a fan of the twitters, follow us at www.twitter.com/gameroomjunkies . I promise to only post gameroom trivia and news, no personal diatribes. We hope to add a lot to the hobby. Thanks for your support!

Edit: I am totally aware episode 1's audio is bad, but we drastically improved on episode 2 and can only get better with time. Thanks for your patience.
