Gameroom Calendar?

Oh you're talking making a calendar using pics of people's gamerooms!

Eh...not a bad idea but its kind of hard to get a good pic of peoples home gamerooms because they're usually so cluttered/compact. There's some really nice ones here though.

I thought you wanted to post up a calendar where maybe people could post up times their gameroom could be open to visitors or whatever.

I thought you wanted to do one with great moments in gaming history on it. Like the thinkgeek one that has famous geeky events on it like (looking at the calendar on my wall):
July 29: Wil Wheaton's birthday
July 30: sysadmin day

would be cool to have a calendar with some awesome pics of full arcades (old or new) or maybe even pics of single games and have the calendar full of arcade dates like:

BLAH 3, 1980: Centipede released
Blah 16, 19xx : Pac-man makes cover of time

It would be some work but that would be really cool. I'd buy one. There should be hot chicks showcasing the games. :)

There has been talk in the past of making calendars featuring individual games, but for whatever reason that has never materialized. :(

I think a mix of individual games, game rooms, game events (think CAX) or more or less anything game related would work well in a calendar. Pic should be easy enough with only 12-14 or so needed. It would be cool if it had important dates in arcade history listed on the calendar.

Oh hell yeah. This forum would buy something like that every year!

That's why I'm surprised no calendars have materialized! I like p1899m's idea of a mix, as well as the important dates. Someone ought to start gathering dates in a centralized place. First year's calendar might not be too "complete" but each year it could continue to fill in as more dates are gathered for it.
