I was wondering if this would be a silly idea but here goes.. What if there could be a designated day in the year where local arcade collectors would gather and have an exclusive Game Day? It could be streamed or all of the high scores could be posted on a data base for that big event day? It could be a friendly tourney where a local guy could host a game party at their house, invite fellow KLOVers to join in and have a go at it. Reason why I was thinking this because in the Amateur Radio community they have what they call a Field Day where stations around the globe compete for the most contacts on a particular day. Weird idea but why not?!? I figure I'd throw the idea out there and maybe get some kind of ball rolling (or not). Suggestions, ideas? I definitely think it would be cool and something different to bring into the community and the hobby as a whole :)

not a bad idea. Why not designate a classic arcade game day. maybe we can even get it printed in a calendar or get a news story on it?

I've thought before that it would be cool to designate 1 day a month to a friendly competition where 1 game would be picked ahead of time and people would compete on that one day for the high score. Of course it would be on the honor system and you would have to post a screen shot of the score. maybe even with something that shows the date like a news paper. Who knows. There would be a small prize. But just like your idea the point is to get people playing their games. Sort of together even though we're all over the place.
