Game you would really like to have but know you will never get...

I would love to have an original Midway Gunfight, but I know I'll probably never get one.

What about you?

Doesn't have to be the 'rarest', just a game you really liked playing back in the day.

why does dragon's lair have no replay value? Unless you can beat the game with your eyes closed, standing backwards and on one credit, then there is plenty of replay value

Growing up in my little town of Clear Lake, WI, the local bar had a wall game - it was a duck shooter. I'd love one of those. In 10 years collecting, I've only seen one locally 2 times, and both were NOT for sale.

Personally I LOVE DL 1, 2, and SA, I was completely enchanted by these games as a young cartoon loving kid. Yea once you know the patterns it def looses replay value but still a fun game IMO. Seems like its a bit of a red headed stepchild out here though. I might have been at the perfect age when these came out which is why I have such a love for them now.

EDOT. Star Wars cockpit. Missile Command cockpit. Warrior. Medieval Madness. Cactus Canyon. White Water.

Not that I couldn't find or afford, just don't like the idea of spending that much money on one game (over $1000 for a vid or over $3500 for a non-NIB pin seems like too much to me). Plus I hate bulky cockpits (as awesome as they are mind you) - I already broke my 'uprights only' rule to get a Warlords cocktail, trying to stick to my guns where cockpits are concerned.

As for non-price prohibitive games I used to play the shit out of War: Final Assault in the arcade.

But I would never want one because without the magic of pwning 2 other random motherfuckers in an effort to work towards getting the contest t-shirt I don't see much attraction to play it anymore.

Got the t-shirt btw. Still have it. Most expensive t-shirt I will ever own.

Berzerk cocktail . . . already have Berzerk but would love the cocktail but the price from all my searching is WAY above my budget.

Major Havoc <- rarity
Tempest <- this machine seems to hate me ask tta583 and mcandrewsoun . . . I played both of there machines and promptly both stopped working . . .

Tron Legacy Pinball <- I know this is an arcade thread, but I would love that pin but I doubt I will ever be able to afford it

Robotron 2084 <- cost and space . . . looking like I'll added a Robotron board to my Smash TV so I'm not upset about it.

Astro Invaders <- room and I've yet to see one for sale

NARC - I cant find one locally and I doubt i will ever find one. Even boards dont show up on ebay very often.

A modern pinball game.. The prices are too high for what they are, IMO. It's 4000$-5000$ can be used or something far more useful than a single game.

Haunted Castle (I'm a sucker for anything castlevania), Dragon's Lair(or just about any Laser game) and an After Burner cockpit/game ride.

The last haunted castle I saw near me was in working order but rough shape on the outside with the plexiglass cloudy and pealing(on the CP) and scratched side art. The silly guy still wanted almost 1K for it!

As for afterbuner I'll never buy one due to being afraid of the ride components and the same goes for laser games(with laserdisk players).

My holy grail would be to find an environmental/cockpit version of Discs of Tron. I remember playing that game when I was a kid and feeling like I was in the movie. That's the game I dream of someday owning, but I would never get anything done because I would play it all the time!
