About to start my restoration on my gameroom as soon as 3 more big games go out this week.

Who uses vinyl tile for their floor? I currently have it and it sticks to the concrete pretty well accept that they get scratched really bad when moving games. Im going to try and not move them so much once Im done.

Has anyone tried the vinyl flooring that looks like hard wood? Its at Lowes and looks like Pergo but its Vinyl.

Also how does the stained concrete get applied? I've seen some people with that but does that scratch easily? And if not have you noticed any echo's from just the concrete floor. Think the vinyl cuts down on the noise somewhat.

This has been discussed a lot here on klov. I used to have vinyl sticky tiles, after flood damage I now have an epoxy floor. That's what I should've applied to begin with. It was a lot cheaper (about $180 for 750 sq ft). Also, my games are on plywood stands with strips of carpet glued to the bottom so I can slide them around with ease and not scratch up the floor. The epoxy is pretty tough, but will scratch. The tile floor scratched very easily.

I used garage grade epoxy, it was pretty easy to apply, looks great, and is durable. Water flows right over it (I've had it happen a couple of times, an inch at most, which is why my games are on the plywood stands). There's other solutions to keep your floor from getting scratched, like having all your games on casters.

I used peel and sticks from lowes. Every game has sliders underneath as not to scratch it. Not too bad for $.99 a sq. foot!
