Anybody working on any current arcade-related projects (not game restos) at the moment? Any murals, posters, art collections, curio cabinets, NES boxes as wallpaper, signs, lamps, wall mounted consoles, anything? If so, post some pics of what you're doing or what you recently did. Doesn't even have to be arcade-related per se, can just be some 80's memorabilia you plan on displaying in the game room or arcade. Rubik's Cubes, Madonna cassettes, Whitesnake posters, Carnival mirrors, whatever.

i want to do something cool with the celing in my game room. my room is basicaly a small study off to the corner of the living room but the roof has a wierd slope to it, not flat

i just scored some blue led undercar lighting off of another car at work... with controller box and everything. They can be just on, flash, scroll, strobe, chase, or blink to the music.. pretty cool for free. I put them along the base of my entry wall there looks pretty cool

Im powering them off of the same old flea market atx power supply that im already using to power the red neon by the fire extinguisher , the strobes in the celing, and the mars caution light on the wall.

I'll play...

I have been collecting posters, etc. to hang in the stairwell going to the basement. And added some new toys, a beer sign, a cool LED marker board, and a cool pac ghost light.

Hope to get some pictures tonight - been putting up polyester (Not vinyl! Vinyl is not blacklight reactive) vinyl cut-outs of Berzerk and Space Invaders sprites. Gonna add Astreroids soon.

Also trying to source an original Lite Brite so I can make a huge Atari logo, or something similar. Someone on here did that recently, and it looked badass. Gorfchampion?)

Thanks, Phet. All I ever wanted was your approval. :D

Ahahahahaha, I approve Herr Hotcakes, you can come home now son. My newest project is a pretty sweet sign I've been making based on the Googie style. I had several 11 inch squares of colored plexi cut for me by TAP, then cut out black adhesive-backed vinyl letters with my new plot cutter. I went with a Broadway font as I am also a big fan of the 20's art deco/bijou look. I'll actually be building individual light boxes for each letter and be spacing them 2 inches or so apart with conduit connecting them for the wiring. They'll be placed over the doorway to my new Arcade space. Here's a pic of the letters mounted on the plexi so far:

I collect concert posters in addition to games, and they both occupy the same room in my house. Here's one poster that bridges the gap between the two hobbies.

Working on my lounge area and an LED lit bar to match my LED doorways. Seemingly a 4-5 day custom job takes about 3 months with kids - LOL. Here is a sneak peak.....

Ditto. Also, where did you get the DK?

Thanks,

Jim

I forget where I got that Yoshi. It might have been from Toys R Us. I also have a giant PVC mario at work from Japan and a giant PVC DK from TRU.

I got one of the DK plush from the Nintendo Store in NYC. The other I think I got on Ebay.
