Sold a game to someone, when you didn't expect to? I just had the neighbors over tonight, first time they've visited since I started collecting games back in March, and they fell in love with my 60-in-1 cocktail. They asked a little about it while playing it for a few hours(the guy's wife was just hypnotized playing Galaga), and offered to buy it flat out. Being good friends that they are, I did tell them how much I paid altogether for it when I got it, and the husband offered me $100 over what I paid. Told me he wanted it, to him and his wife(wife agreed), that it was worth that to them. They wanted it for their new house they're moving into. I wasn't planning on selling that anytime in the near future, but they really wanted it, and I couldn't refuse the price they offered. So without even looking, I just sold a game to a family that I think just caught the addiction of owning arcades. Great friends, and it's going to a good home. I'm almost kind of sad that it's going to be gone, being that it was my first game
But price was right, and when someone offers that, you jump on it without looking back. It all works out though, it gave me more room for the games already on their way, plus it made room for that Red Tent I'll be getting in the near future
So I raise a glass to my first that will be leaving, and celebrate the new arrivals as they come. It's a happy/sad moment for me, and felt like sharing. Carry on....
