I've got a WG 25k5501, which I just found out is a 19k4900 that has been modified for a 25" tube. I've got it in the original cab it came in (serials match), Street Fighter 1 Pneumatic cab (6 button conversion), but when I hook up the SF1 pcb to it, I get a bit of a wave going down the screen that looks like it's underneath the image. The game plays perfect other than that. But the funny thing is, the monitor doesn't have a wave in it at all when a different pcb is hooked up to it. I've actually hooked up 3 different pcbs to it, other than the SF1, and all play and look perfect (no wave at all).
My understanding is that it is probably the large cap that handles the B+ voltage that needs to be replaced (got a full cap kit from Bob on the way). But I'm wondering how the wave happens on the SF1 pcb only.
Has anyone ever heard of specific pcbs doing something like this? I know a little about monitors (yokes, convergence, cap kits), but not much else. I do know the board doesn't supply the power to the monitor though so I'm scratching my head on this.
Thanks for any help.
