Game pcb causes monitor issue?

I've got a WG 25k5501, which I just found out is a 19k4900 that has been modified for a 25" tube. I've got it in the original cab it came in (serials match), Street Fighter 1 Pneumatic cab (6 button conversion), but when I hook up the SF1 pcb to it, I get a bit of a wave going down the screen that looks like it's underneath the image. The game plays perfect other than that. But the funny thing is, the monitor doesn't have a wave in it at all when a different pcb is hooked up to it. I've actually hooked up 3 different pcbs to it, other than the SF1, and all play and look perfect (no wave at all).

My understanding is that it is probably the large cap that handles the B+ voltage that needs to be replaced (got a full cap kit from Bob on the way). But I'm wondering how the wave happens on the SF1 pcb only.

Has anyone ever heard of specific pcbs doing something like this? I know a little about monitors (yokes, convergence, cap kits), but not much else. I do know the board doesn't supply the power to the monitor though so I'm scratching my head on this.

Thanks for any help.

It can most definately be the street fighter PCB. If your other boards don't have the wave, then it's 95% likely it's the game board.

The board doesn't supply power, but it does supply the image through the video lines.

Look at the board and see if there's any capacitors broke or anything (I think it's a three board stack, right?)

Yes, it is a 3 board stack. But funny thing is, the wave doesn't happen when I put the same pcb in a different cab (SF1 upright) :). But the upright is a 19" vs the 25" in the "pneumatic" cab.

I'll take a close look at the pcb later tonight.

Is Street Fighter 1 Jamma, or Capcom pinout?

It's Jamma, with a kick harness for button 6 (both players), or 5 and 6 (both players), depending on which version pcb it is (2 different ones).

I checked the pcb, and all caps appear to be fine. No bulging, no legs broken or bent badly, no burned areas.

Hopefully the monitor cap kit will help narrow it down more, or solve it.
